Dream a little dream...

...of some awesome stencils and stamps!

It's fun in the sun time again with another collaboration between Stampendous and Dreamweaver Stencils! We'll be playing together all of this week, with a fabulous hop on Friday, August 2nd, featuring a slew of amazing talent from both teams, and of course...prizes!!!

Two prize packages will be given away for the comments left on posts Monday-Thursday, July 29th - August 1st, and one prize will be given away for comments left on the hop day, Friday, August 2nd. Winners will be selected randomly and announced Thursday, August 8th. (Note: USA addresses only, please, due to shipping costs.) Here's what you could win:

Stampendous Surfer and Sandcastle Kiddos • Dreamweaver Hot Air Balloon, Ice Cream Cones, Summer, Mosaic Swirls, Bird Words, and Sandcastle stencils

 Here's what I created:

I used Dreamweaver Stencil LJ 896 Large Flourish and embossed it with white embossing paste on Neenah Classic Crest CS.  Once dry I trimmed it down to size and colored it with Copic markers to add my ocean blues.  Next I used my VersaMarker pen and added some Chunky White Embossing Enamel from the Stampendous White Encrusted Jewel Kit just on the "frothy" parts of my wave.  I set that aside and stamped the Stampendous Surfer Kiddo, colored him with my Copic markers and fussy cut him out to set aside until assembly time.  I printed off my sentiment from the Stampendous Surfin Kiddos Digital Download selections, trimmed it down, layered it, and added a touch of blue. Then came assembly time!  I created my card base from Bazzill, adhered my stenciled piece, pop-dotted my little Surfer Kiddo and added my layered sentiment with pop dots.  A very simple card but I love how it turned out with the "wave" splashing up behind him! Now, hop on over to the next in line. Don't forget to leave some love for a chance to win, and just 'cuz it's nice!

Thanks for stopping by today, I'll have another post on Thursday.  Your comments are so appreciated!  See you again, soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Stampin' and dreamin'...

...and stencilin' and colorin',
plannin' and wonderin' where to put this charm
I've got too many stamps in my arms...

 Here's what I created:

For my project I used Dreamweaver Stencil LL 3033 SandcastleLL 332 Picasso (to make my clouds), Stampendous Sandcastle Kiddo, and Sandy Kiddos Digital Download for the sentiment.  I created my clouds first with the Picasso stencil and Memento Summer Sky ink pad and a sponge, then paste embossed my sandcastle with white embossing paste on Neenah Classic Crest.  Once dry, I colored the paste with my Copic markers.  I stamped my image with Memento and colored it with Copic markers, fussy cut the image and set it aside.  I created my card base (Bazzill), layered my patterned paper (Bo Bunny's C'est La Vie Collection) with my stenciled piece and prior to adhering, I added my May Arts ribbon.  I printed off my sentiment, added ink to the background with Memento Summer Sky and a sponge, then adhered it to the patterned paper and then the card.  The last step was using pop dots to adhere the Sandcastle Kiddo to the card front.  That's it!  Pretty simple and kinda cute!  Now, hop on over to the next in line. Don't forget to leave some love for a chance to win, and just 'cuz it's nice!

Dog Days of Summer

That's right!  It is HOT outside and like my little doggies, all I want to do is stay inside in the AC!  Dreamweaver Stencils is celebrating Summertime and all things related.  I consider the Dog Days of Summer to be appropriate, especially now that we have a super cute steel die that matches our LL 3029 Dog Stencil!  Oh my gosh, can I just tell you how much I love the matching dies!!!  They've just released them at CHA Create and Connect and I know they're going to be a huge hit.  So here's my card:

Angled View
Here's a different angle to showcase the dimension.  I used matte black embossing paste with the stencil and paste embossed the dog first.  Once it was dry, I added the die cut pieces over the black paste.  I left the nose, eye and collar black.  I did fill in the eye with Copic marker.  Below is a close-up of the dog that really shows the depth of the paste under the paper pieces.  My papers are Bazzill, Neenah Class Crest CS and Basic Grey's Whiskers and Max 6x6 paper pad.  I also used a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Here's the list of everyone posting today:

I hope you've enjoyed my project today.  Next week we're doing a blog collaboration with Stampendous and Dreamweaver and I'll be posting new projects on four days.  Be sure to check back as there will be prizes!  Who doesn't like prizes!?  Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

New Catty Time!

So, have you enjoyed all the fun sneak peeks this past week?  Have we totally blown your stamping budget for the next month or so?  LOL!  I bet there's a few of you that could answer that question with a big ol' YES!  So here's my other peek for you and I have to say, this is one of the prettiest pumpkin stamps I've even seen and I've see a lot!  This one is called Damask Pumpkins and can be found on page 18 of the new catty, for when you can see it!!

Who knew pumpkins could be so elegant?  I love these, they're perfect for any fall occasion!  My card is pretty simple just the way I like them!  Using Memento Tuxedo Black, I stamped the image and colored it with Copics.  I trimmed it down to the size I wanted and added Tim Holtz Distress Inks, first Antique Linen and then Tea Dye.  My base is Bazzill and my patterned papers are We R Memory Keepers Autumn Splendor.   The ribbon is May Arts and I put it all together with Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry.  I have two other team mates with projects for you today so be sure to check them out, too!  Here's the list for today:

I hope you've enjoyed your visit, please stop by again!  More goodness is coming your way!

Hugs,
Lea

Cowabunga, Surf's Up!!!

Cowabunga, Dude!  I hope you're all having a wonderful summer and have had the opportunity to hit the beach and maybe even catch some waves.  Today I have a super cute card I've created for Dreamweaver Stencils using Surfboards Stencil LG680.  I love, love, love this stencil!  It's fun and fab!  The challenge for the month of July is a fun one... "Summertime, Sparklers, and S'more"! We hope you'll play along with us, and link your creation to our linky tool at the end of the Dream It Up post for an opportunity to be a random winner of the stencil of your choice. If you want to start deciding on that choice, check out the line of stencils HERE. We have a special guest designer for the month of July...Wendy Price!  She's one of my favorite designers and you'll love her project!  So, here's my card:

I also used Surfer Kiddo from Stampendous! as he's perfect for this stencil, don't you agree!?  Anyway, I used white embossing paste to paste emboss my stencil and set it aside to dry.  Once it was dry I colored it with my Copic markers.  Next I added the sky and sand and layered it on my Bo Bunny patterned papers (Barefoot & Bliss).  I colored the Surfer Kiddo, cut him out and popped him on the front.  Voila!  Fun, easy and super summery!  I hope you like my card and here's the rest of the design team with more sensational summer projects designed to inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Lea

Feel the Tingle...

Are your spidey senses tingling yet?  That's right, it's Movie Magic Monthly time and this month we're doing Marvel Action Hero Movies.  I've always loved this web-slinger so I picked him.  I've learned that you don't always have to go the traditional stamp store route and, once again, I've googled images for Spiderman and found some awesome coloring pages.  This is the page I found:

So, I decided I didn't really care for the background on this one but I loved Spiderman's stance so I colored him, cut him out and put him on a background I drew and colored myself.  I really wanted a spider web behind him so that was one of the reasons I didn't care for this one.  I created my spiderweb with Diamond Stickles.  I also wrote out my own little sentiment since I didn't really have a stamp that worked.  Here's my card:

And, an angled view!

I'm pleased with how my card turned out!  Now it's your turn to play along and add your creation to our blog here.  I can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea
