Wicked Wednesday with Bloobel Stamps

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog and this week our sponsor is Bloobel Stamps and our theme is a color challenge using red, gray and turquoise!  Talk about fun and quirky, these images are awesome!  For my ATC, I've used is Telephone Time and I couldn't resist the little play on words, the "hello" IS on the other side, besides the obvious Adele reference!  Well, it made sense to me, anyway!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Miscellaneous Patterned Paper
Copic Markers
atyouSpica Gltter Pens
Teal Color Fragments by Stampendous!
Martha Stewart Washi Tape
Zip Dry Paper Glue by Beacon
Medium Point Black PITT Pen by Faber-Castell

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color and trim closely
Write sentiment with black pen, add a slight shadow with silver glitter pen and underline "hello" with the red glitter pen.
Add two pieces of Washi Tape as shown.
Trim ATC base from turquoise patterned paper.
Adhere image to base.
Add some random dots of glue, sprinkle on fragments, allow glue to dry and shake off excess to return to jar.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to have a look.  We would love for you to play along on our challenge for this week, color challenges are always fun!  I'll see you again tomorrow with more fun inspiration.  Have a blessed day!

Hugs,
Lea

Hello, Beautiful!

Hello, beautiful "Faces of Stampendous!"  It's been an amazing week of gorgeous girls and some pretty cool creations from our amazing Design Team.   Over the past week you've seen Beautiful Braid, Beauty(ful) Face, Feminine Face, The Glance, and The Look!  I decided to create a 6x6 canvas for today's project using The Look and combining my love of Copic markers and DecoArt's Americana Paints!

Here's what I used to create this canvas:

Stampendous® Cling The Look
Stampendous® Not All Wander
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Copic® Markers - E11, E13, E15, E37, E19, E50, E51, E53, E93, R02, R05, B21, B23, B24
Americana® Acrylic Paints by DecoArt®:
     Warm White
     Snow White
     Spa Day
     Winter Blue
     Baby Blue
     Sapphire
     Primary Blue
     Bleached Sand
     Antique White
3D Foam Squares by 3L®
Zip Dry™ Paper Blue by Beacon
AC Moore® Studio 6x6 Canvas

Here's what I did to create this canvas:

Stamp face with black ink, color with markers and fussy cut.
Paint canvas, set aside to dry.
Paint a strip of paper with "sand" paints.
Stamp sentiment onto strip of paper and attach to canvas with foam mounting squares.
Adhere face image to canvas.

Here's a list of my teammates playing along today:

I love to paint and I love to stamp, so, when I get to combine my two favorite things, I'm in Heaven!  This was certainly a treat to create and share with you today.  All of the lovely "Faces of Stampendous" are perfect for cardmaking and mixed media/journaling projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look at "The Look."  I'll see you again soon with more Stampendous goodness.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Dreaming of You

So, how are you enjoying the many faces of Stampendous?  Pretty darn awesome, aren't they?  For my card today, I've used Beautiful Braid rubber stamp combined with Stampendous Dreamweaver Stencil DWLG762 Fairy.  From the first time I saw this stamp, I saw butterfly and fairy wings on her back.  You will definitely see this stamp again combined with butterfly wings!

Another thing I love to do is mix the various Stampendous Essentials to get my own mix.  I love having the ability to mix the various fragments, glitters, micas and embossing powders to match my papers and colored image.  If you don't have color fragments, you need them!!  I love those delicious little flakes of color.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Copic® Markers
Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Memory Box® Viola 6x6 Paper Collection
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon
Glue Dots® - Small

Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp image with black ink and color with markers.
Paste emboss fairy wings onto back of girl.
Add lilac powder to wings and heat with heat gun for molten magic technique.
Using VersaMarker™, extend wing size with marker, sprinkle on blue embossing powder, heat.
Trim image closely.
Mix fragments, mica and glitters in a separate container and set aside.
Create 6x6 card base from blue cardstock.
Trim background papers as shown and adhere to card base.
Take image and edge with VersaMark™ pad, sprinkle on ice blue embossing enamel, tap off excess.
Sprinkle on essentials mix and heat powder, this will embed the mix into the powder.
Adhere image to card front.
Using glue, adhere additional mix as shown, set aside for glue to dry, tap off loose mix and return to container.

This card might look like it was complicated to create, however, it really wasn't.  It was actually quite easy to put together and I'm so pleased with the final result.

Here's a list of my teammates that are playing along today:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll have another post for you tomorrow sharing another wonderful face from Stampendous.  In the meantime, have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday with PolkaDoodles

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and today our sponsor is PolkaDoodles.   Our theme this week is "Baby, It's Cold Outside."  I've used two images, Frosty Penguins Octavia and Igloo.   I loved the combined image so much, I decided to keep this one very simple and let the images shine.  I did write a little, "Brr..." with a glitter pen, though!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic© Markers
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pens in Clear and Baby Blue
Neenah© Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Light Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper©
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon

Here'a what I did to create this ATC:

Combine images, print and color.
Trim image slightly smaller than ATC size, approximately 1/8" smaller on each side.
Write sentiment with glitter pen.
Trim ATC base from blue cardstock.
Adhere layers together.

So, what's the weather like in your part of the world?  It's been cold here in North Carolina and we even had snow on the ground yesterday.   Now it's supposed to be warm for several days and then more snow next week!  Yeah, it's bi-polar weather around here!  So, no matter the weather in your area, pretend it's cold and show us your best chilly ATC linked here.  I look forward to seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Best Embossing Book Ever

Happy Friday!!  I hope you've enjoyed the past week with the various posts from the Stampendous Design Team showcasing the many techniques in Fran Seiford's new book, Embossing Powder Techniques from A-Z.  Fran is the owner and founder of Stampendous and has been using these techniques for 35 years.  The book is absolutely amazing, very clear instructions and so easy to follow and learn from!  Also, in case you didn't already know, Stampendous is now carrying the Milwaukee Heat Tool by Wagner.  Truly one of the best heat tools out there!

I made this card using two Techniques, J - Watercolor Resist with White on page 29 and S - Encrusted Jewel beginning on page 42. These are fun techniques, especially the watercolor resist.

Tombow Time!

It is always a great time hopping with Tombow USA and we are thrilled to be hopping over the weekend with them. Our design teams will be sharing some pretty awesome projects with products from our prizes list, you will not want to miss out on a single day!

So, now that you've seen the fabulous Stampendous Metal Stencil Duo Sets, what do you think?  For today's card, I've used the new Hearts Metal Stencil Duo Set.  I collect heart-shaped things so this one really speaks to me.  This is especially nice for Valentine's Day!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® Heart Metal Stencil Duo Set
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Tombow® Permanent Mono Glue Pen
Dylusions™ Bubblegum Pink Spray Mist by Ranger®
IrRESISTible™ Colored Texture Spray in Lilac Posies by Imagine Crafts®
Viva Decor® Pearl Pen in Ice White
Gelly Roll™ White Gel Pen
Ki Bright Geo Paper Pad by Hampton Art®
Bubblegum Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
I.5" Sheer Dots Ribbon in Fuchsia/White by May Arts Ribbon®

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of white cardstock (cs) to fit two hearts.
Using the enclosed pen with the Stencil Duo heart stencil, outline the main heart shape onto the white cs.
Remove the heart stencil and place the other stencil over the outline of the heart.
Move the stencil around to suit your needs for the design and draw the design into the heart.
Color this heart with color pencils, add white dots with gel pen and cut out.
Put the heart stencil back onto the leftover white cardstock and this time, using the glue pen, outline the heart shape and write the sentiment, this is known as glue resist technique.
Once the glue dries, spritz on the pink mists and then wipe off the extra spray from the glue areas.
Cut out the second heart leaving enough edge to see the glue portion.
Trim Bazzill® cardstock to create an A-2 card base with a tent fold.
Trim patterned paper to fit inside card base.
Wrap ribbon around patterned paper and adhere tails to back side of paper.
Adhere patterned paper to card base.
Adhere hearts to card front.
Last, but not least, add Pearl Pen™ pearls around edge of spritzed heart.
