A Little Antiquing Fun

Have you heard about Fran Seiford's new book Stampendous recently released, "Embossing Powder TECHNIQUES from A to Z?"  It's 100 pages of everything you will ever need to know about embossing!  Today I used technique W - Antique Embossing Powder Technique on page 68.  This technique mimics the look of old tin ceiling tiles and is one of my new favorites!

If you need a heat gun to try these embossing techniques, Stampendous now carries the Wagner Embossing Heat Tool.  This has got to be the best heat tool on the market!  I've had one for years and I love it.

For today's card, I've gone a little Western with the Horse and Rider stamp embossed and layered over Leather Flowers background stamp.  My grandfather used to do leather tooling and he created some beautiful pieces, much like this stamp!  I still remember sitting on his lap and "helping."

Here's what I used to create this card:

Memento™ Rich Cocoa Ink Pad by Tsukineko® from Imagine Crafts®
DecoArt® Americana® Sand Acrylic Paint
WorldWin® Papers DoubleMates™ in Totally Tan
Carob Cream Smoothies Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon

Here's a list of my teammates that are playing along today:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll have another cool technique to share with you tomorrow, so, don't forget to drop in again.  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Lea
