Here's a simple little card I did using Bikini Betty. My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. My base is Bazzill cut to a 5 1/2" square. The patterned papers are from an Echo Park Splash 6x6 pad. My bottom layer is cut to a 5 1/4" square. I cut a strip of the polka dot paper that's 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" high. I framed my image with a rectangle of the same Bazzill I used for my base. I pop-dotted the image on and added the three flowers and their bling.

Hydrangea Hope

Hello! Welcome back! Today I would like to share a card with you that started out with very different intentions. By that, I mean I intended to do something along the "Fran-tage" line as in the rose card from the previous post. However, as I started putting my card together, I decided to make it a little more spring-like and a lot cleaner than the shabby chic feel I was originally intending. I stamped my Stampendous! Cling Jumbo Hydrangea stamp on Neenah Classic Crest with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored my image with Copics G0000, G00, B41, V0000, V01, YG61, YG63, and YG67. Here's how it turned out:

I was pleased with my results and then I started my hunt for paper. Ordinarily I pick out my papers first and then color. I'm really not sure why I didn't do that this time but I really couldn't find any papers in my stash that were worthy of such a beautiful image. (Actually, I couldn't find any that matched!) That meant having to go to Enchanted Cottage on my lunch break to see what I could find. Well, I found three papers that I thought would make a lovely combination so I bought them and as soon as I got home from work, I hit my stamp room determined to make another "Fran-tage" beauty. The more I looked at the pink patterned paper from Creative Imaginations, the more I wanted to use the touching "Hope" message printed there. I'm a cancer survivor so this is something near and dear to my heart. I cut out my image and started playing around with the paper but I just couldn't get it configured in a manner I felt was right for "Fran-tage." I had cut my base to be a 6" square from Bazzill. I cut my bottom layer of patterned paper from Creative Imaginations in a 5 3/4" square. I cut two strips of the green Karen Foster patterned paper about an inch wide and I then edged each strip with a Martha Stewart punch. From my Creative Imaginations "Hope" paper I cut my middle panel to fit the word across the bottom section. I adhered the punched strips to each side of the top layer and centered both top and bottom layers on my base. In order to add some texture to my image, I added some of the new fresh green and lavender crushed glass glitters from Stampendous! I used glossy accents to hold my glitter on and as soon as it was dry enough, I pop-dotted my image onto the card. I added a little sheer pink ribbon with a pearl as an accent. I chose the pearl because even with something as small as a grain of sand irritating the oyster, something as beautiful as a pearl can grow. There are many things in life that irritate us but we can still radiate beauty from within if we choose to. I would like to think that because of my cancer, I'm now able to see more of the beauty in life around me. I still tend to rush through my days sometimes but I'm far more aware of my surroundings and of how blessed I am with God's grace to still be here. So, without further ado, here's my card. I hope (no pun intended) that you like it.

As I said in the beginning, this isn't exactly what I had in mind when I colored my image but I'm really pleased with the way it all came together. A Rose by Any Other Name...

...is a Stampendous! Jumbo Cling Rose! When I first saw this stamp, I just about swooned! I know that sounds crazy to some but I was bitten and smitten and could hardly wait to get some ink on my very own! I've done a few other cards with it but I had not done any of the new "Fran-tage"-style cards with the cool embossing powders and chunkier style glass glitters. Well, I decided it was about time to "Fran-tage" it! Here's the image after stamping it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest paper and coloring it with Copics R81, R83, R85 and R89:

I have to say, I honestly thought the rose was quite pretty just on it's own but that is not what "Fran-tage" is all about. No, Plain Jane is not Fran's idea of "Fran-tage" at all. So, I picked out my papers and pulled out some of the new Stampendous! embossing powders, micas and glitters. These were some of my selections pictured here:

I am so in love the new Basic Grey Kissing Booth paper and had been wanting to use it with this stamp from the first time I saw it. I knew it would be perfect! I was going to use all three designs but in the end I only used two, Truly and Sweet Nothings. Dozen Roses went back on the shelf to wait for another day, another card!

I picked out my Bazzill paper for the base and cut it down to a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square card. I like doing that particular size as it's bigger than the standard A2 but not too big like a 6" x 6". I cut my Sweet Nothings paper to a 5 3/8" x 5 3/8" square and slightly distressed the edge with my handy dandy Tim Holtz distressing tool. I cut my Truly piece to 3" x 5 1/4" and distressed it too. Using a spritzing bottle, I spritzed a little water on the upper right corner of the pink Sweet Nothings layer, rolled it with a wooden veggie skewer and dried it with my heat gun. I went ahead and layered the two pieces of Basic Grey onto my Bazzill base. Using a VersaMark stamp pad, I stamped the scrolled flourish stamp that comes with the set in the lower left corner and heat set some Stampendous! aged copper embossing enamel. Of course it was beautiful, but it wasn't enough! Oh, no! This was calling for more, screaming for more! I mixed up my own concoction of aged copper embossing enamel, aged silver embossing enamel, silver crushed glass glitter and gilded mica fragments. It was like being back in preschool art class where you could have fun but the supplies were way cooler! I felt like a little kid all over again. To make my mix stick, I rubbed the corner of my VersaMark stamp pad on the paper, added my mixture and heat set it a little at a time. The exposed upper right corner of the card was yelling for some, too, so I obliged. I looked at my beautiful rose and knew to really be "Fran-tage" it needed a little glitz of it's own. This time I used my VersaMark marker and colored on the rose image in a few strategic spots, added some clear embossing powder, silver crushed glass glitter and voila! Fran-tage! For my finishing touch, I took some 6"-wide tulle and cut a piece about 8", twisted it in the middle, taped it to the back of the rose, added some pop-dots and layered my rose and tulle on the card. Here's the final results:

I must say, I love how this card turned out. I am totally in love with this technique and I already have my next card planned in my head. Now it's time to enter this lovely card in the Stampendous! Blog monthly challenge. This month is all about texture. Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by!

So here's my card and I have to tell you, I've been saving this paper just for this image. It's Scenic Route's Surprise paper both front and back over Bazzill as my card base. My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. I used the cool Spider Web die from Memory Box as that little added touch and even though you can't tell in the picture (grrr!) it's shimmery as I spritzed it with Shimmer Spritz. Simple but cute in my humble opinion. I hope you like her and I hope you've enjoyed the preview for this super cute collection. It has certainly been fun creating with them. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I styled her hair after our very own Alison's. I always love the way Alison colors hair and this is kindof my tribute to her! LOL!

Birthday Princess Rio Surprise Blog Hop

Today is Miss Rio's birthday! Sho nuff! As you may or may not know, Rio is Betty's daughter and she's 14 today. I have to tell you, this young lady is one of the sweetest, most mature young ladies that I know. I had the distinct pleasure of spending time with her during the recent CHA Convention in Anaheim, CA. I was very impressed! Betty, our fearless leader, is an amazing mother and her children are a wonderful reflection of some great parenting!

Now, on to my card. Yes, it's another simple card but I think it's cute and I know Rio will like it. You see, I happen to know Rio likes rainbows, tutus, cool socks and cool shoes! This one is right up her alley! My base is Bazzill, my rainbow paper is K and Company, the yellow dot paper is Lasting Impressions. My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. I added some chipboard letters spelling her name. I used some tulle for my "ribbon" and added some Star Dust Stickles to it for a little sparkle. And there she is, Birthday Princess Rio!

It's Miller Time!

Miller Munster, that is! Yes, he is the newest image in Simply B Stamps Teen Scene Birthday Munsters Collection being previewed today. He is just the cutest little thing and so takes me back to my days of watching the Munsters on TV as a little girl. I used to love that show! Shucks, I would still watch it if I could!

I decided to keep him somewhat monochromatic with just a touch of red. This wasn't the direction I intended to go in initially, but this is where I ended up! The red and black papers are Bazzill and the patterned papers are from Me and My Big Ideas Black and White Color Basics pack. My image and sentiment are on Neenah. My image is colored with Copics and layered on red. My sentiment is one I created on Microsoft Publisher and printed out. I used a Spellbinder's Nestie to cut it and the black layer out. I added the dark red rhinestones for just a little color and bling. Here's an angled shot to better show the color.

I put all my layers together and, voila!, a cute little card that is just right for one of the guys and not too girlie. Confetti Funfetti!

Welcome back! Have I got an adorable image to share with you today!? Meet Confetti London, newest in the Simply B Stamps Teen Scene Birthday Munsters collection. Isn't she the cutest? Of course she has her sidekick, Lynx, with her to help celebrate. This is one of those cute images that can be used for any happy celebration or party.

This has to be one of the easiest cards I've ever made. The yellow paper is Bazzill and the patterned paper is from a Girl Scouts paper stack by K & Company. My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. I layered and centered the image, cut out some flowers from my paper and pop-dotted them in the corners, then I added some Star Dust Stickles to the confetti and the centers of each flower. Voila! Cuteness!! Honestly, it doesn't get much easier than that. The paper was rather busy in itself so I really wanted to keep the design rather simple. I do hope you like it!

Double your pleasure...

...double your fun! Today you get a two for one!

On the Simply B Stamps blog we are previewing the new Teen Scene Birthday Munsters Collection. Needless to say, I'm just a wee bit behind having gone to CHA Convention in California. Have I told you yet that I hung out with our very own Betty Roberts, creator of so much goodness!? Well, I did! I had such a good time and almost hated to come back home. However, all good things must come to an end and now I'm back to reality and back to creating cuteness for your viewing pleasure.

First up is Birthday Pugsly Christian. He was actually previewed yesterday but since I'm a day behind, you get to see my version today. He's such a cutie, too! My image is on Neenah Classic Crest and colored with Copics. I added my own grass to polish off the image which is matted on Bazzill. My card base is Bazzill and my patterned paper is Doodlebug Design's Surprise Party. My sentiment is from A Muse and stamped in Tim Holtz gathered twigs distress ink. I added red grosgrain ribbon from my stash for that little extra pop of color. Now there you have it, a simple card without a lot of fuss!

Next us is Party Lola! This girl is ready to throw on her party hat for a good time and a little rock and roll! As with Christian, Lola is on Neenah Class Crest and colored with Copics. There's just something about Lola that makes me want to color funky hair. I don't know what it is, maybe it's a secret desire to have my own hair in some fun shade like purple or pink. It must be my inner punk rocker! Anyway, this little Sweetie is colored with Copics and matted on Bazzill. My base is Bazzill and my patterned papers are from Three Bugs in a Rug's Butterfly Kisses. This time I used a piece of the patterned paper to create a party hat complete with pom-poms! I typed my sentiment on the computer and printed it out to layer and mount with pop dots. Lola is also pop-dotted with a double stack of pop dots to make sure the pom-pom trim on the hat fit underneath.

Both cards were relatively simple to create and so much fun to color! I hope you have enjoyed them and please come back tomorrow for another sneak peak. You know you want to see!

Tea Time Lilly

Hello there! Well, I have another adorable Jude and the Rockers Playtime image from Simply B Stamps to share with you today. This is Tea Time Lilly and she's such a cutie just like the rest of the collection.

My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics, my favorite medium by far! The base of the card is Bazzill and the patterned paper is DCWV The Sweet Stack. The baker's twine is from Doodlebug and I'm not sure of the origin of my "chocolate" heart button but I found it in my stash and chose to use it. I know this card is really simple but it has been a very stressful day. We had to put one of our fur babies to sleep today. Our dog Ollie was 15 and getting more and more feeble. There's nothing that breaks my heart more than to see an animal suffering and our poor baby was suffering. He is now in Heaven waiting to greet the rest of us like the faithful and true friend he has always been. Our Westie, Holmes, will be lost without him as they were truly best buddies. Dress Up Ariel

Oh my gosh have we got a cutie for you today! Say hello to Dress Up Ariel, the newest preview in the Jude & the Rockers Playtime collection from Simply B Stamps. Okay, so this is my new favorite! Well, actually, they're all favorites.

I love, love, love this image! The image is colored with Copics on Neenah. My base is Bazzill and I've added a little extra matting with some solid black. The patterned paper is from the 3 Bugs in a Rug collection called A Trip to Paris. I thought this paper would be perfect to use for this image and I love the results. I typed my own sentiment on my computer and printed it out and layered it the same as my image. For the middle piece, I cut out the striped piece, cut out the purses strip and edged it with black Bazzill I punched with my Martha Stewart punch. I decided to add the rose in at the last minute. I love how it all came together and I hope you like it too!

Lunch Time Brittany

So what do you think of these little cuties so far? Aren't they all just adorable!? Today we are featuring Lunch Time Brittany, the newest from Jude & the Rockers Playtime collection at Simply B Stamps. I love coloring Brittany because her hair is so much fun to color. This image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. The solid papers are Bazzill and the patterned papers are from the DCWV paper pad "Nana's Kids." The papers are glittered but it's hard to see the glitter in the picture.

I took three wooden stars, colored them with my Copics, covered the tops with Glossy Accents and then dipped them in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. They look more frosted in the picture yet are pretty sparkly in real life. I added a touch of ribbon across the patterned panel. This is definitely a clean and simple card but I love how it turned out.

Spelling Blocks Oscar

Today, we are releasing a new image from the Jude & the Rockers Playtime collection from Simply B Stamps. This little cutie is called Spelling Blocks Oscar and he is just adorable! It wasn't that long ago that I had a little one in preschool and to tell you the truth, I miss having one that age. Not enough to have another baby, though! Nope, that business is done for me and now I just have to enjoy grandchildren in preschool! Anyway, here's my card.

I used Copics to color my image that's on Neenah and added Tim Holtz distress ink around the edge. Bazzill is my base and solid papers and my patterned paper is Social Club from Cosmo Cricket. I colored the three wooden stars with my Copic marker Y28 and added some epoxy letters from Piggy Tales that I've had in my stash forever. I wanted to keep this one masculine and it's hard to find embellishments that let you keep that boyish feel. Sometimes you just have to create your own! So that's my card and I do hope you like it!

Here's my first card, Big Love Gun Lola! Now don't you think she looks like she should have pink hair? I thought so anyway, so pink it is! My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics, the edges are inked with Tim Holtz distress ink. It's layered on Bazzill and patterned papers from Bloom & Grow collection by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is one I created on my computer and punched out. I edged it in the Tim Holtz ink as well, punched out two more hearts and layered it over a piece of ribbon from my stash. A very easy card to put together but I think it's also pleasing to the eye.

Next up is Valentine Betty. I think she is absolutely adorable! The cool part is, you can actually get her for free! Read below for the details how. Again, my image is on Neenah, colored with Copics (gee, where would I be without my Copics!?), and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink. My base is Bazzill and my patterned papers are Basic Grey. The "hugs & kisses" sentiment was too big so I cut out the "&" and just layered the words, one on each side. I wish you could see the Spica glitter pen on her eyeliner, belt, fishnets and cuff. In person they are all so sparkly and cute!

I have really enjoyed this release. All of the images have been awesome and I honestly can't even decide which one I love the most! So, these are my two cards and I hope you've enjoyed them. This one is definitely going to be a favorite of mine. I think you'll like her too! Please welcome My Funky Valentine Betty into your hearts and into your stamp collection!

Isn't she a sweetheart!? My image is on Neenah, colored with Copics and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink. The base of my card is Bazzill and my patterned papers are part of the Basic Grey Kissing Booth collection. I did use a Martha Stewart edge punch that I did two pieces with for layering and to add some visual interest. My sentiment is from Great Impressions and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah and layered with Bazzill and my patterned paper. I also added a three ribbon roses that I've had in my stash for awhile, I think they're from SU! A really simple and sweet card just right for your honey! I hope you like her.

My Hearts a Flutter Christian

Day four of the new year is upon us and Simply B Stamps has another preview for you today from the new Teen Scene Valentine Steampunk Collection. Introducing "My Hearts a Flutter Christian." He is such a cutie and I had a great time putting this card together.

Of course my image is on Neenah, colored with Copics and distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink around the egdes. My patterns papers are from Bo Bunny and My Mind's Eye with the base being Bazzill. I stamped my sentiment from SU! using Memento's Tuxedo Black ink and edged it with Stampendous aged silver embossing enamel. After it cooled I put just a little distress ink on it too. I used a Spellbinder's Nestie to cut out the cool gears, embossed them and while they were still hot I dipped them in Stampendous silver crushed glass glitter to embed some of the glitter in the enamel. I also added some of the enamel around part of the edges of the card just for a little more texture and pizzazz. As with all Simply B Stamps, I had such a good time creating this one. A Heart for You Rio

Day three of the new year and day three of this release brings you another wonderful stamp from Simple B Stamps. Today we have A Heart for You Rio. I love all the Rio images, she reminds me of my daughter, Sarah. There's just something about her! Anyway, on to my card.

My base is Bazzill and my image is on Neenah. Enchanted Cottage got in the new line of Basic Grey called Kissing Booth and I just had to have some for my cards for this release preview. The other papers here are from that line and they are just fabulous! Anyway, I colored my image with Copics like I do 99.999% of the time, die cut my image piece and the layer beneath with Spellbinders Nesties and used a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edges. I decided to play with my new Stampendous embossing enamels and used some aged copper on my houndstooth piece just along the one edge and on some Basic Grey chipboard hearts I've had in my stash of goodies for awhile. It's a very simple card but I think it cam out pretty darn cute and hope you like it too.

Kitty Love London

Okay folks, it's the second day of the new year, how's it going so far? I've decided this is the "Year of Lea" and all things wonderful are going to happen! I'm going to really focus on my stamping projects, my blog and teaching classes. Yes, I know I have a full-time and a part-time job but that is not going to stop me from doing what I love and THIS is what I love! Look at Kitty Love London from Simply B Stamps. Who could possibly not love her and her little sidekick? I mean, she's adorable! She's everything I used to be, skinny and cute with long gorgeous hair! The only thing left is the long hair and soon that will be donated to Locks of Love and I won't even have that! Well at least I have my stamps, right?

On this card I used Bazzill for my base and used My Mind's Eye "be loved" collection for my pattern paper and color inspiration. My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. My sentiment is from A Muse. Both the sentiment and image pieces were edged with Bundled Sage Distress Ink from Tim Holtz. The flowers I added were from my stash. The bottom layer of the flowers is paper and had a really ugly reddish middle to them so I just covered that up with some white flowers I colored with my Copics. I added a little bling to the center of each just to "purr-tyfy" it! I also used my peach Spica pen on the hearts but unfortunately I can never get my camera to show the sparkle. Grrr! Anyway, here she is and isn't she fabulous? Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Box of Chocolates Miller from Simply B Stamps

Happy New Year! I hope this new year brings you all many blessings and much happiness. I love New Year's Day as it's a fresh start for bigger and better things to come. One of those is the new line of Teen Scene stamps from Simply B Stamps called Steampunk Valentine. I love these stamps and was so excited to color each one and create something fun to share.

First up we have Box of Chocolates Miller and he is just so cute! I love his top hat and jacket, not to mention that cute little box of candy.

For the base of this card I used a lovely shade of olive Bazzill. I tend to be very partial to green so I always have a variety of shades in my stash! The prints are both from the Pyrus collection from Basic Grey. That's an older line from 2010 but it remains a favorite of mine. My image is colored with Copics and I did distress around the edges with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. My sentiment is from Dream Impressions Box of Chocolates stamp set that is quite old and the company has unfortunately gone out of business. Both image and sentiment are layered on Bazzill. I added a little velvet ribbon from my stash as well a some pearls. I think he turned out pretty darn cute and I'm pleased! I hope you like him too and again, Happy New Year! My friend Cyndi is hosting a Sketch Challenge on her blog, scrappychickcyndi.blogspot.com. It's something new she's doing and calling it The Scrappy Chick Sunday Sketch Challenge (SCSSC01) and this is the first one. Since I have some new stamps just screaming for some ink I decided to play along. Here's my entry:

This cute little stamp is called Frosty and Fabulous and he's from the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence collection. I think he's just too cute! I stamped him with my Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Classic Crest and colored him with my Copics. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, the base of my card is Bazzill and I used Neenah for my icicles created with a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbon is from my stash and I'm afraid I don't know the origin. I did add some Star Dust Stickles to the icicles but it's hard to see it in the photo.

This is the original sketch and as you can see, rather than use a sentiment, I decided to use an image. I love sketches but I really love that you can put your own creative twist on things.

Stampendous Snowfall Pair

Now don't these two look all cute and snuggly? I think they're adorable! This is an image from Stampendous in one of their new Jumbo Clings called Snowfall Pair. I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out and layered it on Bazzill, Reminisce and Bo Bunny papers. I added some Polar White Flower Soft on their hats and some Stampendous Shaved Ice for the snow.

I don't know if you've played with the Stampendous Shaved Ice but it's like glitter on steroids! It's so awesome and sparkly, I love it! It's a simple card but cute and very easy to do. I hope you enjoy looking and thanks for stopping by!

... to my Uncle Wake and my friend Gary. This is a card I made for Gary. He's turning 50 today and has Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. He's a sweet guy I've known since I was about 12, so it's been a while. I know he's partial to pick-up trucks and I'm hoping he likes the color red!

My image is from Stampin' Up!, stamped on Neenah and colored with Copics. The sentiment is printed on my laser printer using Magneto font. I cut it to look like a banner and added holes for the DMC floss to attach the banner to the truck. I added the dirt road and grass with my Copics but wanted to keep it clean and simple without too much fuss. I also used a little Silver Fox Smooch for my chrome and Glossy Accents for my glass. My image is layered with Bo Bunny and Bazzill papers and the base of my card is Bazzill. Gary likes things clean and simple so hopefully this card will be just right! My Favorite Things - Flurry of Love

I fell in love with this cute little set the minute I laid eyes on it and had to add it to my ever growing collection of My Favorite Things stamps. There's just something about this Pure Innocence line that really appeals to me. This card is definitely in the Cute and Simple (CAS) category of cards. Some days you just NEED cute and simple!

I stamped my image with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest and colored it with my Copics. Once the image was colored, I went over the "furry" parts of her hat and boots and all of the snowflakes with my Marvy Snow Marker. Once the "snow" dried, I heated it up with my heat gun to get that nice velvety raised look. I layered my little cutie on Bazzill and Little Yellow Bicycle papers pop-dotting my image and the green layer right behind her. I used my MFT snowflake die and cut my three snowflakes out in white and one little one in my blue Bazzill then pop-dotted the snowflakes. I decided to add just a little bling from Queen & Co. and that really polished the card off without going overboard. So there you have it! One CAS card coming right up! Just imagine, it's the Fourth of July, hot as blazes outside and you're ready to cook out some hamburgers and hot dogs. Who ya gonna call? No, not ghostbusters, it's Kiss the Cook Miller! He is the 6th and final preview from Simply Betty Stamps Teen Scene Kitchen Fun collection. He's all fired up and ready to grill!

In typical Lea fashion, my image is on Neenah, colored with Copics, cut out and inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I was feeling very patriotic when I colored him so I paired him with Piggy Tales' Yankee Doodle Dandy line over Bazzill. I layered my image and then using the star Nestability, I cut out and layered some stars. I used my white Signo gel pen from Uni-Ball to write my sentiment. I really love how this one turned out. So this is the last image in this collection. I sure hope you have enjoyed this release. I've certainly enjoyed creating my cards for you. Thanks for joining me!

Little Miss Muffin Rio

Making her baking debut on the fifth day of our Simply Betty Stamps Teen Scene Kitchen Fun collection preview is Little Miss Muffin Rio. She is absolutely adorable! I love her happy expression on her cute little bespeckled face!

My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics with Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edge. My base is Bazzill and for the patterned papers I used Best Creation's Mom's Kitchen line. I love the paper and thought it was perfect for this image. I added some Doodle Twine between layers in pink and aqua. The Queen & Company rhinestones are just a little extra bling but also carry over the polka dot theme from the paper. I used MS Word to print out my sentiment and layered it on Bazzill,ti along with an oven mitt I cut out of the patterned paper, a cute and inexpensive way to embellish. Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle! Today we are previewing Simply Betty Stamps Pan Slingin' London, fourth in the Teen Scene Kitchen Fun collection. Isn't she a hottie!? I thought she looked sassy and certainly too cute to be cookin'! I thought she kind of had that look like "you want me to do what with what?"

My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. I cut the image out with a Spellbinder's Nestability and inked the edge with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The base of my card is Bazzill with layers of Doodlebug Designs and EK Success (the green one) papers. I added some Prima flowers with Queen & Co. rhinestones. I typed up my own little sentiment in MS Word, layered it and pop-dotted it on. She is sizzlin'!

Hi there! Today we are previewing the Simply Betty Stamps image Spaghetti Christian from the new Teen Scene Kitchen Fun collection. He's so cute in his chef hat that when I saw this paper I knew I had to use it! My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. The base of my card is Bazzill. The cute chef paper is Karen Foster's Chef Accessories. I've combined that with Bo Bunny Walnut Gingham and a Lasting Impressions check. I thought they were both very "chef-like" and they went perfectly with the Karen Foster. I used a Retro Kitchen Cuttlebug folder to add a little texture. I finished it off with some Doodle Twine from Doodlebug Designs and my sentiment is one I did myself in MS Word.

It's a simple card but I think it's cute. Anyway, I hope you like it and I sure appreciate you taking time to stop by and look.

Cupcake Lola

Oh how I love a good cupcake! They're just the right size and full of tastiness! I can say no to a lot of things but a cupcake is not one of them. Today's Simply Betty Stamps image is Cupcake Lola and she's as sweet as they come!

As usual, my image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. The base of this card is Bazzill, I love the wide range of colors Bazzill carries. If you can't find a color to match your paper, you aren't looking hard enough!
I then layered Bo Bunny's Sweet Tooth Temptations patterned paper using each side for a different layer. I added an edge of Bo Bunny Raspberry Dot paper that I punched with a Martha Stewart punch to the striped side of the Temptations paper. I trimmed my image, used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink to tone down the whiteness, layered it on Bazzill and then layered it onto the Bo Bunny Raspberry Dot. This, of course, was layered onto the striped Temptations paper. I stamped a sentiment from Stampin Up!, layered it onto more of the Raspberry Dot and pop-dotted it onto my card. I added three dew drops for visual interest and that completed my card. I'm pleased with how it turned out but I must admit, making this card has made me crave cupcakes. Guten appetit!

Baking Betty

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! As usual, I ate too much but Thanksgiving Day only comes once a year so I indulge myself a little. Of course, every day should be thanksgiving day as I have much to be thankful for. God's grace shines upon me, I have a wonderful family and wonderful friends, and a little bit of a creative gift that allows me to share my love of stamping and creating with you. Thank you for being a part of my life here in blog land.

Today Simply Betty Stamps is releasing the first image in the Teen Scene Kitchen collection beginning with Baking Betty. She is such a cutie, I just love her!

I colored Baking Betty on Neenah with my Copics, which, as you know, is my favorite medium. I cut her out with a Spellbinders Nestie and edged her with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The base of my card is Bazzill. I layered Karen Foster's In the Kitchen paper with Lasting Impressions checks and added my image piece to the top. I cut out a couple of images from the paper as accents. I printed out my sentiment, punched it out, added a couple of pearls and some ribbon. One Baking Betty card cooked up and served!

Fluffy Reindeer Tail Levi

Now isn't he the cutest tail end of a reindeer you've ever seen!? Meet Fluffy Reindeer Tail Levi, the newest Christmas Sketchy Zombie from Simply Betty Stamps! I have had such a good time coloring zombies for this release. I decided that since this is a guy I would keep the design on this card more masculine. It's not always easy for me to do masculine cards as I like embellishments and ribbons and glitters and there's really not a lot you can use for a guy without making it too girly. So out came the buttons! Buttons are wonderful little touches that depending on the style of the button can easily masculine or feminine. My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. The other papers are Bazzill and Bo Bunny's Blitzen. The card is simple with just a little layering, a simple sentiment and a few buttons. I did tone the white of the Neenah down with some Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

Oh what fun it is to stamp

When Lea gets to play, hey!

Yeah, I know, I'm being corny! Well, there's nothing corny about Jinglin' Jessi, this image from Simply Betty Stamps is as cute as they get! She seems very happy for a zombie so I felt the need to color her happy colors. She's all decked out in purple and lime green. My two favorite colors!! I had to give her purple curls and I figured if she's going to run around in a strapless dress in the winter, then she's gotta be cold, right!? Hence the icy blue skin. Yeah, I know she's a zombie and therefore she's dead, or is she undead? Either way she's just so darn cute!

I colored her with Copics on Neenah and layered her on some purple Bazzill. My other layers are Bo Bunny and a piece of unknown origin paper. As soon as I saw this cutie, I knew I had to use this piece of Bo Bunny from the Winter Joy collection. Using a Memory Box die I cut the blue accent swirl that I used to mount my sentiment from A Muse onto. I added a couple of ribbons from my stash and some purple dew drops. Peppermint Brooke

This young zombie could seriously use a peppermint! Have you ever smelled zombie breath? Well, I haven't either but I can just imagine how stinky it would be! So today Simply Betty Stamps is introducing Peppermint Brooke, the newest image in the Sketchy Zombie Christmas collection. I decided that I wanted my cute little zombie to look like a freshly made zombie so I colored her with my Copics in a normal skin tone and then I went in and added W2 and W5 to kind of "putrify" her a little. I must say that looking at the card in person is a little too different than looking at her on the computer. On my screen she really doesn't look nearly as putrified as she does in person and that disappoints me. I was really going for a freshly dead look!

The papers I used were Neenah for the image, Bazzill for my base and accents and My Mind's Eye "be Merry" for the prints. I accented with some pink ribbon from my stash and a few pink dew drops. At any rate, the card came out as cute as a card can look with a putrified zombie. I actually kind of like the contrast between cute peppermint-y colors and a zombie with decaying flesh. Not something you see every day, now is it!? I do hope you enjoy Peppermint Brooke, I sure had a good time making her into a card! Fa la la la la la la la la.....Falala Lexi! This is her debut with Simply Betty Stamps and isn't she cute? Who knew a zombie could be so darn adorable!? I just love her and I do hope you like her too!

The papers I used are Neenah, Bazzill and Echo Park's Wintertime Collection. I loved the colors and since I really wanted her to look cold (i.e. blue) I decided this paper was perfect! Of course I colored my image with Copics, you know they're my favorite!! My sentiment is from A Muse, the ribbon is from an unknown source as well as the button and the embroidery floss, just goodies from my stash! I think she came out really cute and hope you think so too! Now, how many of you did the music in your head as if you were singing it!? That's what I figured! This is a special blog hop today to wish our wonderful friend, Betty, a very happy birthday! If you landed here from Alison's page, you're on the right track. The complete list of blogs is below in case you've gotten lost along the way. For Betty's card I used one of the Sweet Gothic Kids images, Judy Present, found here. I merely modified her hat from a Christmas hat to a party hat which was very easy to do with a little masking and it allowed me to turn her into a birthday image. I colored her with my Copics and layered her on Bazzill and Echo Parks Summer Days paper.Then it was just a matter of adding a sentiment, a few cute buttons for embellishments and a little Stickles to sparkle her party hat. A sweet little card for a very sweet lady!

For the inside of her card, I printed off my sentiment and added a little of the Echo Park paper just to dress it up a little bit. I think it was just the right touch! I hope you like my card for Betty and I hope you will join us in wishing Betty the happiest of birthdays with many more to come! We love you Betty, happy birthday!

Simply Betty Stamps - Jude and the Rockers Christmas Release

Hi there! I have three cute cards for you today from Simply Betty Stamps. These are from the new Jude and the Rockers Christmas collection and they are just adorable! You can see the entire collection on the web site for Simply Betty Stamps or you may visit our blog for more samples of each new image. My first card is Big Gift Lilly. She is just the cutest little thing and kind of reminds me of Cindy Loo Who! Lilly is colored with Copics, distressed with a little Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink and layered on Neenah Classic Crest, Bazzill and My Mind's Eye "be Merry" papers. I added a few dew drops that I colored with my Copics and cut out three little trees that I pop-dotted in the lower right corner. I love her rockin' PJ's!

Big Gift Lilly

Next up is Carrots for Rudolph Ariel! She's just so stinkin' cute! My youngest son has decided he wants to leave out carrots for Rudolph this year. After all, he is the one leading the whole sleigh and pulling Mr. Chubby around all night! I guess he's right so I've conceded and carrots will become a new tradition in our household. Well Ariel is just sooo cute she had to be colored with Copics! I cut her out with a Spellbinders Nestie and did the next size up as well for layering. I added a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink and layered her over Bazzill and Bo Bunny papers. I added two layers of ribbon and using a little of the Bazzill I used for the base of the card, I cut out the snowflakes with a die from My Favorite Things and added bling with some Stickles. I love how she came out!

Carrots for Rudolph Ariel

Last, but certainly not least, is cute little Cookies for Santa Jude. He reminds me of my son's best friend, Michael, except Michael has the most darling curls you have ever seen. There's just something about Jude that makes me think of Michael! Again, I used my Copics to color him, added some Bundled Sage Tim Holtz Distress Ink and layered him with Bazzill and the two printed papers. I hate to say this, but, I don't know which company to give credit to for these cute papers. There was nothing printed on the back so I'm at a loss. They really are perfect for this particular image. So, on to revealing my Secret Pumpkin! Not only did she give me a treat (my card and coffin), she gave me a pair of socks so she wouldn't have to smell my feet, and she gave me something good to eat, Snickers! Now, how cool is that!? Thank you, Aeryn Kelly-Reitmeyer for being such a ghoulishly sweet Secret Pumpkin! Just look at this cute little combo Aeryn made! I must confess, the coffin is empty. When it arrived, it was full of Snickers, now it's not. They have all disappeared! I'm sure they'll reappear sometime soon on my hips or rear end but in the meantime, I've just been licking my lips!

So, I thought that since it's Halloween I would give you an extra treat and show you another card I made using Witchy Boo Betty in digi format. I don't know about you, but I love digis!

I so wish you could see the sparkle on the stars! They are just so much prettier in real life, the camera never seems to do my sparkles justice. I think she came out pretty cute. I also did a card I sent to my Secret Pumpkin but the post office decided to lose my package that I sent so Erika unfortunately didn't get to participate. I can't even begin to tell you how angry I am with the post office but more than that, I feel awful for Erika not getting her goodies. I did take a picture of the card before I mailed it to her and I'd like to post it below. I used Punkin' Judy from the Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween Collection. DICC Challenge #18

Here's my entry for the Desert Islands Crafters Challenge #18. Of the 10 things you could possibly use, I've used most of them! It's a 1. Halloween Card, 2. SBS Image, 3. Favorite Color (purple and lime green), 5. Candy Colors (think Fruit Stripe Gum, Jolly Ranchers, etc), 6. Not Square, 7. Stripes, 8. Shades of Gray (love my kitty), and last but not least, 9. Bats (also gray!) and Spiders (no spiders, yuck!)! My sweet little Betty Witch is all about pink, purple and green! I colored her with my Copics on Neenah Classic Crest paper, cut the image out with my Wonky Squares Nestie, edged her with some Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and layered her on "the Midnight Spell" paper from DCWV. How appropriate is that name! I gave her a lovely purple bow and then gave her some magic dust (Star Dust Stickles) she's pouring into the cauldron. I stamped my sentiment in the Seedless Preserves and gave it a little Lime Green Stickles accent. What fun! I so love Halloween and my pretty in pink Betty Witch! Thanks for stopping by for a look.

Simply Betty Stamps

Yay!! I'm officially one of the newest Design Team Members of Simply Betty Stamps! I can't even tell you how exciting this is for me. I so love these stamps, they're fun, quirky and a little different. Kind of like me! Well, a whole lot like me, to be honest! As one of the newest members of the DT, I was able to participate in my first ever Sneak Peek for part of the Teen Scene Christmas Release. Now, how cool is that!? These are the cards I created. First up is Season's Greetings Lola. I colored her with my Copics on Neenah Classic Crest and airbrushed and Glimmer Misted the background. The papers are Basic Grey. I used the snowflake die from My Favorite Things to add a few snowflake accents, added a little bling and used some sparkly ribbon and Flower Soft to complete the card. I love how she turned out!

Next up was Rio and Frosty. Aren't they just the cutest? Again, my image was colored with Copics on Neenah, layered on Bazzill and Echo Park papers. I stamped the sentiment from Amuse, added a few little stamped snowflakes around the edge, layered and voila! I just added a few pearls and the card was done. Easy peasy and cute to boot!

The last card I did for the Sneak Peek was Betty and Christian under the mistletoe. As usual, they are colored with my Copics on Neenah and layered on Little Yellow Bicycle and Bazzill papers. Using a Nestie, I cut them out and sponged a little green ink around the edges. I added some ribbon and a little bling. Done! Three cute cards with some cool images from Simply Betty Stamps. Pretty cool, huh!? Go check out the stamps and you can also go to the Simply Betty Stamps Blog to see what other members of the team created. You won't be disappointed!

Simply Betty Stamps Blog Hop and Auction

Welcome to the Xander Zone!! You are in for quite a trip through todays Blog Hop and Auction. Our dear friend Betty Roberts, owner of Simply Betty Stamps has just found out this week that her 17 year old son Christian has Stage 1 Throat Cancer. He will be having surgery next week and many months of Therapy to follow. (To read more from Betty on what’s going on please go HERE)

Christian will be undergoing Surgery next week to remove his tonsils and then the thrice weekly Therapy will begin on the tumor. His therapy could last for many months.

Here's the card I created for the hop using "Bella the Vampire." I think she's gorgeous and spooky looking all rolled into one and was so pleased to use her in my card for Christian. Of course I stamped her on Neenah and colored her with my Copics (E50, E51, E53, R02, YR14, YR16, YR18, E08, G21, G24, G28, BG000). I cut her out using a Spellbinders Nestie and distressed her with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Antique Linen all over and Rusty Hinge around the edge. I layered her on Bazzill and Cosmo Cricket papers. I typed my own sentiment and printed it out on Neenah, distressed it and layered it as well. I had a few off-white flowers in my stash that I also distressed, added the bling in the middle and attached to the layered sentiment. The card itself was so simple to create, however, I think she's as lovely as her name! I hope you like her too.

What's cookin' in your stamp room? I cooked this one up with My Favorite Things! She's colored with my Copics, of course, on Neenah. The other papers used are My Mind's Eye, Bo Bunny, Basic Grey and Bazzill. Boy that's a lot of B's! The buttons are from my stash and the twine is My Mind's Eye. I did use a Martha Stewart punch to edge the piece of Bo Bunny. I do love how my little chef turned out! Now, it's time to cook up something new!

Here's a little sweetie I did from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line called Hello Cupcake! Of course she's colored with Copics. The paper is Bazzill and My Mind's Eye. I used a MFT die to create my flower too! I used a petite scallops nestie to layer her with. Added a little ribbon and "Voila!" Isn't she cute?

For the inside I stamped my sentiment and using the MFT jumbo ric rac die I added a piece of the cupcake paper. I love how it turned out. Thanks for looking!

Somebunny Loves You!

Here's a cutie I created to play along with the My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge 35 and I think I'll enter it in the Charisma Cardz Challenge for Anything Goes too! http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/ What a great sketch! I colored the main image with my Copics (E21, E30, R02, RV11, RV32, E23, E25, E27, Y11, Y13, Y15, C0) and sponged some Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the image. I did round the corners at the top of image and added a small strip of the same paper as the background paper I had punched out with an EK Success punch. I cut a piece of Basic Grey and two strips of pink polka dot paper of unknown origin! The houndstooth paper is My Mind's Eye. The card base itself is Neenah. I put a strip of green ribbon in the mix as well. I stamped my sentiment, rounded the corners and sponged it with the same Distress Ink. Layered it all up and added the cute flower I created with a Spellbinder's rose die and colored with my RV11 Copic, added the brad and voila!. I loved creating this card and it all came together very nicely!

I so love a glass of bubbly! Isn't she just adorable? I have fallen in love with stamps from My Favorite Things! Right now, they are definitely one of MY favorite things. I love their sketches too as they are fresh and fun. I also used a SU heart stamp as well to create a background paper but we'll get to that in a moment. I stamped my main image on Neenah Classic Crest with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored her with my Copics (E30, E21, R02, E23, E25, E27, BG02, BG05, BG07, Y23 and C0). I cut her out and added a little shading around her with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edges and added my Stampendous ultra fine multi glitter to her dress with a Quickie glue pen, a little touch of Stickles to her ears and Glossy Accents on her glass of bubbly. I set her aside and moved on to the Lasting Impressions paper piece. I took a heart stamp and colored on it with my Copics (BG02, BG05, BG07, B05, G02 and G05). I spritzed the stamp with some Copic blender solution and stamped my heart on the paper. I took my Colorless Blender "0" and using the tip-to-tip method I added some stripes of color to the stamped image. I stamped several of these hearts and repeated the same process on each one. I punched out my tab with the same Lasting Impressions paper, folded it over, stamped Cheers! and attached it to the bigger piece with the hearts. I cut my strip of Bo Bunny paper that had the hearts on it that inspired my stamped hearts, cut my Bo Bunny dots paper to fit and then layered the whole card on Bazzill. I added some cute little blue-green rhinestones from Queen & Co. to finish the card off with that extra little bit of pizzazz. I'm so please with how it all came together. I planned to enter the MFTWSC from last week but alas, I missed the deadline! That's okay, there are a couple of others I'm going to enter my adorable young lady in, Pile It On! City Cousin, Country Cousin

I fell in love with this stamp from Great Impressions when I saw it because it reminded me of my cousin, Marcella, and myself when we young girls. I lived in the city and Marcella lived on a farm in"the country" as we called it. We loved to visit together and some of the best weekends of my life were spent in the country with her. I can still taste the sweet Muscadine grapes that grew wild; we would pick and eat as many as we could! Anyway, I colored these two cuties on Neenah paper with my Copics (E00, E30, E21, R02, E23, E25, E27, Y11, Y21, Y23, Y26, BG10, YG23, YG25, RV10, RV11, BG000, C0), drew a line with my Copic Multiliner SP, and colored the "floor" I created. I cute them out with a Spellbinder's square die, rounded the corners and mounted them on the scalloped die I cut out of Lasting Impressions paper. My base is Bazzill and the first layer is "Chloe" paper from Three Bugs in a Rug as well as the two rectangle pieces I have layered under the image. The plaid piece and the polka dot piece were both embossed with Cuttlebug folders just to add a little texture. I created a flower using the Carnation Spellbinder's die with some of the Bazzill I used for the base. My brad in the center of the flower was white so I colored it with YG23 to match my papers. I had white ribbon to use but it was boring so I colored it with RV11. I put all my elements together into a little card I aptly named City Cousin, Country Cousin! Aren't they cute?

Summertime Splash

This little cutie is from an old SU set that I bought years ago and dusted off for this card. I have so many sets that need dusting off and a little love. I stamped my cutie on Neenah Classic Crest with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with my Copics: E30, E31, R02, YR23, YR14, YR18, YR15, YR16, BG02, BG05, BG07, BG09. I airbrushed BG53 for the "water" she's floating in and then I used SU Tempting Turquoise for the little wave stamp that's very subtle. I layered her on orange Bazzill paper, then a layer of Bo Bunny dots paper. The base of my card is also Bazzill in a very pretty teal. I used Scenic Route paper for the striped piece and again for the large stripes with words saying summertime, splash, and swim like a fish. I put all my layers together and then added some Prima flowers I layered and topped with some cute little buttons that I'm pretty sure are SU. This cutie was created for iCopic's Orange and Blue challenge and I used a sketch from Carolina Stampers weekly sketch. I'm also entering this one it the Blue Challenge this week for Pile It On. What fun! I love the bright colors; I hope you do too!

Meee-ooowww

Here's a little card I created for a challenge on iCopic this week to color fur. I colored my kitty with E50, W2, W6, W8 and then I used a little piece of grosgrain ribbon spritzed with blender solution to add a little texture. I liked using the ribbon because it kept the fur "laying" in the right direction. I'm currently at the beach so it was hard to create a card with the limited supplies at hand so I was just happy to get it done! I used my Copics, Bazzill CS for the base, Neenah for my stamped image, and Basic Grey for the other layers, one that I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and my Cuttlebug. I colored my white ribbon with R08 and sponged a little Memento London Fog around the edge of my image. Easy peasy and cute to boot!

Lady in Kimono

This is a card I made at Enchanted Cottage. I used three stamps from Great Impressions and did my coloring and airbrushing with my Copics. I paper pieced her kimono with two different papers from Best Creations. I cut her out with a Spellbinders Nestie and I used another Spellbinders edger to cut out the two lattice pieces. What you can't really see in the picture is that the papers have a shiney sheen to them that really makes it look pretty. I hope you like it!

My Aunt LaVada passed away this past weekend and this is a card I made for my Uncle Renard. The stamp is from SU as well as the lavendar paper. The other is Neenah and My Mind's Eye. I colored the images with my Copics, BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV11, G21, G24, G28, Y0000, Y00, Y11, Y13, BG72, C0, C1. C3, C4, C6, 0 - Colorless Blender. The ribbon is from my stash as well as the pearls that I colored with my Copic BV11. Thanks for looking.

MFTWSC30 - Cute Is What I Do!

Cute Is What I Do! from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line is one of my favorite sets in a long time! It really lends itself to some cute paper piecing and coloring with my Copic markers. I did this little cutie in honor of their weekly sketch challenge, MFTWSC30. The base of the card is Neenah, the green and floral print is either Three Bugs in a Rug or Little Yellow Bicycle, sorry not sure at the moment. The pink gingham is Bo Bunny. I used an EK Success punch to do my scallops at the bottom. I used two Spellbinders Nesties, one for her and one for the layer in pink behind her. She, of course is colored with my Copics, E51, E30, E21, R02, Y11, Y23, Y26, Y28, B0000, B00, C0, R83, R85. I lightly airbrushed a little B0000 around her. I used another EK Success punch to do the green flower. The floral "ribbon" trim is some I picked up at JoAnn's and I had some little sparkly rhinestones in my stash for a little extra bling. I think she's adorable, I hope you like her too!

Revamped By Lori Designs Cutie

You know, sometimes you create a card and it's okay, you know, kindof cute. You're in a hurry to get it posted so you rush or you just don't feel the creative juices flowing freely so you settle for okay. And then when you least expect it, the inspiration hits and you know what you need to do to complete the card and make it better than kindof cute. My little Presley Lollipop is now complete and I think she's adorable. If you look at the previous post, you can see the big difference a few little finishing touches have made. I love Prima flowers and I so wish I could remember where the buttons came from. The punches are SU and the sentiment is by Amuse. I'm much happier with the changes made.

Here's a little cutie I created with one of the adorable images from "By Lori Designs." I absolutely adore her images and this one especially reminds me of my granddaughter, Emmaline. I wanted to do something fun and cute with her so I kept it simple making her the focal point and letting the papers provide the rest of the eye candy. The papers are Neenah, Bazzill, Cloud 9 and Bo Bunny. I also used a Spellbinders die, some lace trim from my stash and a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Of course I colored her with my Copics - E000, E00, E30, R20, YR14, YR16, YR18, E08, Y15, Y17, Y19, YG93, YG95, R21, E13, E15. Hope you like her!

Have a Bloomin' Good Day!

I have only recently found My Favorite Things stamp company and I am so glad I did! For starters, the little girl looks like my granddaughter, Emmaline. These are just some of the cutest stamps I have seen, I love them! I stamped her on Neenah Classic Crest and colored her with my Copics. I paper-pieced her dress with some cute paper I think is from SU and using the same paper I layered that on some Real Red for my base. I cut her out with the Lattice Rectangles Nestabilities Spellbinder die. I also used the flower die from MFT to cut out some flowers which I layered on Prima flowers for a little more dimension and colored some pearls with my Copic R22. The blue velvet ribbon is from my stash so I don't know what company it's from. I added a little more grass than what was actually part of the stamp with my Micron pen. I think she's pretty darn cute and now it's time to enter her in some challenges!

Tilda Loves America

Yes, I know Tilda is really a cute little Swedish sweetie, but today, she's all American and proud of it! I colored this patriotic doll with my Copics, sparkled the stars on her dress with an atyouSpica in clear and cut her out using a Spellbinder's Nestie. I also stamped the saying by Northwoods in Memento Tuxedo Black, bordered it with an old firecracker stamp that I believe is from SU, colored with my Copics and pop-dotted it on. I then added a little yellow and stardust Stickles to the fuse of the firecrackers for a little sparkle. Now, let me back up a little, the really fun part of this card is the background. There's an airbrushing challenge this week on iCopic (WC #36) so I was feeling inspired. I punched out some stars, placed them around in a random pattern and airbrushed with B69. When I felt like I had enough color, I airbrushed some R29 on for the stripes. I used three of the stars I had previously used for stencils as decoration along the bottom. I did edge both Nestie peices with my R29 Copic Sketch for just a hint of color. The base of the card is Bazzill and the rest of the paper is Neenah Classic Crest. I kept the card relatively simple since there was so much going on with patterns. I do hope you enjoy my card, I certainly had a good time making it.

This is one of the newer Tildas, or newer to me at least, from Magnolia Stamps. I spent nine years on active duty in the Army so I'm very patriotic. I love our great country and am so proud to be an American. This is a 6x6 card with Bazzill as the base cardstock and for the stars. I stamped Tilda and the picket fence stamp on Neenah and the printed papers are Best Creations. The stars were cut out with a Spellbinder's Nestie. Her flag is paper-pieced and I cut the buntings and the sentiment from the printed paper's other side. Tilda is colored with Copics and pop-dotted over the fence. I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you enjoy it too! Thanks for looking!

Celebrate Freedom

This is a quick little card done with two Stampendous stamps, Celebrate Freedom and one of the Bee Happy stamps. The bee on the tricycle looked like he really needed a path to travel along so I added one with a micron pen. The image is colored with Copics and cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie mounted on a piece of Bo Bunny also cut out with a Nestie. I stamped the Celebrate Freedome twice and cut out both with a Nestie mounting one on the side and one on the bottom. The background paper is by Best Creations. I also used Stickles to accent the dots on the Celebrate Freedom stamp and to also accent the bee's antennae. I wanted to do something simple and cute. I hope you enjoy it.

Stampendous Jumbo Rose

This is a card done with the new Stampendous Jumbo Rose Cling stamp. Papers are Bazzill for the base, My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey. Colored the rose with Copics. I also used a Martha Stewart Edge Punch, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, misc buttons and ribbons. I hope you like it.

Potting Shed

You know, when I first saw this stamp, I thought it was an outhouse! I had to look a little closer to see that it's actually a potting shed. Anyway, we have an abundance of both of these stamps at work and I've been given the task of making cards with stamps we have a lot of. That's okay, because it gives me a chance to create and that's my favorite thing to do, next to teaching classes. Of course I colored both stamped Great Impressions images with my Copics. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the blue paper and one of the newer Spellbinders to cut out my main image. The base of the card is Lasting Impressions dot embossed paper in ivory. The blue paper was some that we had at the store but I don't know the origin and it wasn't marked. The yellow is Bo Bunny and the paper that I stamped on is actually Bazzill. Yep! I stamped and colored on Bazzill! There are a few places where the ink feathered a little but not much. I can't get over how well it let me blend. It was just a little experiment on my part that worked, so I was pleased. The pearls were white so I just colored them with my BG72 and had pearls the color I wanted! Man, I love my Copics! I don't know how I crafted so many years without them! Hope you enjoy my card. I've entered it in the iCopic WC #35 as it's a cream colored Bazzill paper that I colored on. Still can't believe how well it worked!

Tilda is Thinking of You!

Here's a cute little Tilda and you know she's thinking about you! This is one of the cards I'm doing in my class this Saturday at Enchanted Cottage. She is such a cutie and great fun to color. The papers are Bazzill and Memory Box. The pearls and ribbon are from my Cottage stash. I also used Nestabilities, a Martha Stewart punch and a an EK Success punch. Of course she's colored with Copics. Hope you like her!

Feeling blue!

And yellow with just a touch of green! This is another Hero Arts flower that I stamped three times, colored with Copics and cut out the different layers to stack them. The sentiment is also Hero Arts. I used my Nestabilities and a Cuttlebug embossing folder but its hard to see the embossed part in the picture. The paper is Bazzill and I'm afraid I can't remember who the printed paper is by. I thought the buttons kindof mimicked the flower stamp and finished the card off just right. Thanks for looking!

Graduation's Coming

Are you ready? Here's a card I created with Stampendous and Hero Arts stamps and colored with Copics. I also used Spellbinders Nestabilities and a tassel. I didn't have a black tassel so I had to air brush a green tassel with my black Copic marker. Worked pretty good! Anyway, it was a fast card to create and looks pretty cute!

This is such a pretty stamp that I had to use it on a card. I wanted to use my Copics, of course! I also used My Minds Eye papers and I little tulle as an accent. I also used the tiniest bit of Stickles for just a little bit glitz. A very simple card with a little elegance!

More Hero Arts!

I love the new stamps Hero Arts released this year. I love flowers and these are big and bold! This card was done with Copics and some Hero Hues and Stickles but I honestly can't tell you who the paper is made by. I'm sorry, these were just some papers I found at Enchanted Cottage and I liked how they looked together. I did use the EK Success Daisy Chain punch for the border but it's hard to see in the picture. I thought the card came out kindof cute and perfect for that tween or teen in your life!

This card is done with a couple of different Hero Arts sets. I colored it with my Copics and used ric rac for the flower stems. The papers are Bazzill and Bo Bunny. I used the Martha Stewart icicle edge punch for the grass and ran both of the Bo Bunny papers through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I thought it came out pretty cute! Hope you like it too!

Hero Arts Card

This is a card I did for Enchanted Cottage from the new Hero Arts 2011 release. I love this stamp and knew I had to use it with this Bo Bunny paper. I colored the flowers with my Copics and added a little copper Pearl Pen randomly to the centers. Punch is EK Success. I also used Bazzill papers. Thanks for looking!

Here's another card I did for Enchanted Cottage. This was done with Magnolia pumpkin stamps colored with copics, the sentiment is Amuse. I've used Memory Box, Bazzill and Neenah Classic Crest papers and two Spellbinders Nestabilities. I also used a small leaf charm as an accent. I love this Memory Box paper from the Blackbird collection. This one is Evening Roost and it's a favorite of mine! It's a shame the picture is so much lighter than the card, the pics never seem to do the cards justice! Anyway, hope you enjoy!

This cute little Magnolia stamp sure makes Halloween fun! The spider web accents were done with the Martha Stewart spider web corner punch. I created this card for Enchanted Cottage, the local stamp store I work at. She's a keeper!
