Wicked Wednesday With Warm Winter Wishes

Whew!  That's a lot of "W's!"  That's right!  It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and our sponsor this week is Time for Tea and this little cutie is Festival Girl.  I added the Santa hat which is not Time for Tea, it's DRS Designs, just wanted to make sure you know that!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

A Muse© Artstamps Winter Wishes Hand
My Mind's Eye® Be Merry 6x6 Designer Paper Pad
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Red Card Stock by Bazzill Basics Paper™
Memento™ Lady Bug Dew Drop
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon® Adhesives
Copic® Markers:
  • R24, 27, 29, 39, 81, 83, 85
  • YG93, 95, 97
  • B0000, 000, 00, 91, 95
  • C00, 0, 1
  • E30, 31, 33, 41, 42, 43, 44, 50, 51, 53, 93

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print images, color with markers, fussy cut with scissors
Trim base of ATC to standard size (2.5"x3.5")
Trim patterned paper as shown and adhere to ATC base
Stamp sentiment on white paper and cut apart, adhere to scrap of red and trim
Adhere Festival Girl to base and adhere hat on top of girl
Adhere sentiment as shown
Using gray marker, add just a touch of gray shadow at her feet

Thanks for stopping by today.  We would love for you to play along with our challenge this week.  I'm sure there's plenty you could do with the theme of "Warm Winter Wishes," so, why not give it a try?  See you again soon with more inspiration!  Have a blessed day!

Sparkle!

This is an art journal double-page spread that I thought I would share.  I really like how it turned out. Originally it was just the right side but after giving it some thought, I decided to add the left side as well.  I like to sketch when I have time, usually late at night when I'm sitting in bed.  The mood just comes over me and I have something in my head I just have to get out.  For this one, I was itching to use my Derwent Inktense Pencils.  Have you even seen a watercolor pencil that's this vibrant?!  I love them!

My sentiment on here is subtle as I didn't want it to be the focal point.  I wanted my young lady to have an ethereal glow and the whole page to have a magical quality.  I think it does!

On top of my Inktense Pencils, I also used Stickles, a Copic Multiliner, Ranger Inkssentials white opaque gel pen, a gold gel pen and a Copic atyouSpica glitter pen in clear.  Oh, and a #2 pencil!

Thanks for stopping by and having a look!  I'll see you again on Wednesday when it's time to get Wicked!  Have a wonderful Monday!

Hugs,
Lea

A Little Tombow Togetherness!

Today is the last day of our fantastic weekend hop at Stampendous with our friends at Tombow. They have so many amazing products; we are excited to have joined them for the past three days. We love their paintbrush style Dual Brush pens the most and we’ve teamed them up with some of our winter wonderland stamps for some truly great projects.  Here's my card using the sweet new image, Winter Delivery:

Here's what I used to create this card:
Spellbinders® Wonky Squares Die
Ranger® Archival Ink™ in Onyx Black
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink in Antique Linen
Light Mauve Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper™
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Cosmo Cricket™ Mitten Weather™ 6x6 Mini Deck
May Arts Ribbon® Ric Rac
Tim Holtz® Paper Distresser
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon® Adhesives
Scrapbook Adhesives® 3D Foam Squares

Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp image with black ink
Using an acrylic block, add ink from brush pen onto block and mix colors needed
Apply ink from block using blender pen (this gives a nice soft color like a watercolor)
Once coloring is complete, cut out image using die
Create 5"x5" card base with a tent fold
Trim your patterned papers as shown
Using your paper distresser, distress the edges of your image and both patterned papers
Add distress ink to the edges you've just distressed
Adhere the two patterned papers together
Trim a piece of ric rac to fit across and around to back side of layered patterned papers and adhere
Adhere layered papers and with ribbon to card base
Using foam squares, attach image to card
Add Boss Gloss™ in a few spots around edges, add embossing enamel and heat to melt
Add glue where desired and sprinkle on glitter, set aside to dry

We are still in the spirit for prize package after our Holiday Hop with Spellbinders!  Our prize package will be a Top Hat Snowman stamp set and a Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle, PLUS a set of Tombow Dual Brush Pens! Fall Blessings

If you're looking for my Stampendous/Spellbinders post, you can find it here.  Thank you!

As we officially head into the holiday season, the Dream Team is challenging all of our followers to be especially "Thankful and Thoughtful" during the month of November. We hope that you will link your creations with this theme in mind on the Dream It Up! blog using the Inlinkz tool. Our "thanks" to you is providing you with the opportunity to win the stencil of your choice, and a bonus stencil of our choosing could be yours for using Dreamweaver product(s) in your artwork. I'm posting this for you today:

I wanted to do a mini canvas for my bookcase so I created this 6"x6" canvas I'll sit on an easel.  I've had this particular idea knocking around in my head for a few weeks so I was happy to get it created and see it turn out just as cool as I imagined it to be.

Here's what I used to create this canvas:

Clearsnap® ColorBox® Chalk Paintbox® - Primary Pastels
Clearsnap® ColorBox® Chalk Petal Point® - Autumn Pastels
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink - Antique Linen
Micron® Pen - Black
Artist's Loft™ Canvas Board

Here's what I did to create this canvas

Using sponge daubers, randomly ink leaves around canvas using only yellow, orange, and red tones from the two ink palettes
For each large maple leaf only, replace stencil and loosely outline each leaf following the shape of the stencil but not running your pen against the edge of the stencil
Write your sentiment as shown
By the way, the Dream Team are very THANKFUL when our followers are THOUGHTFUL enough to leave us a nice comment on our posts! Here's the "A" team lineup for this week, as well as our very special guest designer, Linda Neff!

That's it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll have another post for you over the weekend.  In the meantime, have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Lea
