To Die For!

Welcome to July...the Dreamweaver Stencils© month to DIE for! Yep. All of this month, the Dream Team is featuring our newest toys...our DIES! You'd be surprised at how many we have, and what fun things you can do with them...especially when used in conjunction with many of their stencil counterparts. They are such a simple way to create an effective card.  I've created a card using the Apron Die which matches the adorable Apron Stencil!  I love this set because I have a thing for aprons!  I'm so glad aprons have made a come back!  The sentiment has been retired from Stampendous but can still be found where I've linked it below.  Here's my project:

This is what I used to create this project:

Dreamweaver Stencils© LG 736 Apron Stencil
Dreamweaver Stencils© DG736 Apron Die
Dreamweaver Stencils© Matte Black Embossing Paste
Stampendous® Whipped Up Sentiment
My Mind's Eye® On the Sunny Side 6x6" Paper Pad
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink™ Iced Spruce
Beacon Adhesive® Zip Dry™

This is what I did to create this project:

I paste embossed the stencil with black paste and set it aside to dry
I created my card base and trimmed my patterned papers as shown
Using three different patterned papers, I die cut the apron 3 times
I laid the pieces out and played around with different combinations prior to applying them to the pasted stencil
I stamped my sentiment next to the dried paste and trimmed it to the size shown
I edged the pasted/stamped piece with distress ink and applied the die cut pieces over the black paste
Adhere all the layers as shown

I love the look of the black paste under the die cut pieces!  It just adds a little polish to it.  I'm sure that our "A" team is just DIE-ing to show you their creations, as well as our Guest Designer for the month of July...

and

Thanks for stopping by today, I'll see you again soon.  Have a blessed day!

Lea
