Clean and Simple Christmas Card

If you've waited until the last minute and need a super fast Christmas card to create, here it is!  This sentiment is part of the Stampendous® Kiddo Toyland Set sold exclusively at Michaels.

Here's what I did to create this card:

Using Tim Holtz Distress Markers in Peeled Paint and Fired Brick, color directly onto the stamp and stamp onto white cardstock

Cut out stamped sentiment/image with Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Oval die and use the next size up to cut out the mat from green cardstock

Create your card base and create a tent fold

Trim your patterned paper as shown 

Create you bow leaving tails long enough to wrap around the patterned paper and adhere onto the back

Adhere all pieces as shown

How about a little sneak peek?

It's catalog release time at Stampendous and all week long the design team has been sharing projects made with stamps from the new release!  Today I'm sharing this super cute card with you:

Hee hee!  Isn't he cute!?  This is SSC1185 Snowman Banner Perfectly Clear Stamps and he's one of my new favorites!  I'm sure you'll love him, too!  Using EJK08 White Encrusted Jewel Kit, I used Chunky White Embossing Enamel and Crystal Embossing Powder mixed up to create my "snow" at the bottom.  I love how it looks!  Here's another view and a close-up:

City Cousin, Country Cousin

I fell in love with this stamp from Great Impressions when I saw it because it reminded me of my cousin, Marcella, and myself when we young girls.  I lived in the city and Marcella lived on a farm in"the country" as we called it.  We loved to visit together and some of the best weekends of my life were spent in the country with her.  I can still taste the sweet Muscadine grapes that grew wild; we would pick and eat as many as we could!  Anyway, I colored these two cuties on Neenah paper with my Copics (E00, E30, E21, R02, E23, E25, E27, Y11, Y21, Y23, Y26, BG10, YG23, YG25, RV10, RV11,  BG000, C0), drew a line with my Copic Multiliner SP, and colored the "floor" I created.  I cute them out with a Spellbinder's square die, rounded the corners and mounted them on the scalloped die I cut out of Lasting Impressions paper.  My base is Bazzill and the first layer is "Chloe" paper from Three Bugs in a Rug as well as the two rectangle pieces I have layered under the image.  The plaid piece and the polka dot piece were both embossed with Cuttlebug folders just to add a little texture.  I created a flower using the Carnation Spellbinder's die with some of the Bazzill I used for the base.  My brad in the center of the flower was white so I colored it with YG23 to match my papers.  I had white ribbon to use but it was boring so I colored it with RV11.  I put all my elements together into a little card I aptly named City Cousin, Country Cousin!  Aren't they cute?
