July Catalog Sneak Peek

It's Sneak Peek week for the new Stampendous July Catalog and each Design Team Members is sharing a card they made for the catalog.  The card I chose is one of my favorites using the new Dragon Skeleton Rubber Stamp and a sentiment from last fall's Spooky Wishes Perfectly Clear™ Stamps.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous Products -

W204 Dragon Skeleton Rubber Stamp
DP111 Detail Black Opaque Embossing Powder
EP210 Chinese Red Opaque Embossing Powder
VM001 VersaMark™ Watermark Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
SSH46 Large Handle
SSH34 Medium Handle

Other Products -

DecoArt® Media Fluid Acrylics™ - Quinacridone Magenta, Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide, Diarylide Yellow, Green Gold, Burnt Umber
Canson® XL® Watercolor Paper
Black Cardstock
Mandarin Cardstock by My Colors®
Archival™ Jet Black Ink Pad by Ranger®
3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives®
E-Z Runner® by Scrapbook Adhesives™

Here's what I did to create this card:
  1. Trim a piece of Canson® paper to desired size for card, add drops of paint and mix with fingers
  2. Once paint is dry, stamp crackle image with Archival™ ink
  3. Using VersaMark™, stamp dragon image, add black embossing powder, tap off excess powder and heat (don’t forget to put excess powder back in jar)
  4. Stamp sentiment on black cardstock with VersaMark pad, add Chinese Red powder, tap of excess powder and heat
  5. Trim sentiment closely
  6. Create a black mat for main image
  7. Create an A2 card base from Mandarin cardstock and adhere all layers as shown
