Pretty Pink Paper

Hi there!  I'm back with another post showcasing handmade paper created with the Arnold Grummer Papermill Complete Papermaking Kit.  Today's paper is a baby pink with bits of Shaved Ice and Crystal Micro Glitter.  I actually made this with mostly white paper and just a little bit of pink scrap papers.  The picture does not do it justice!  It's much prettier and pinker in real life!

If you love specialty papers and those beautiful handmade papers with the different fibers and glitters embedded in them, you really should consider getting the Papermill Kit.  It's incredibly easy and a lot of fun!  You won't regret it!

I Made Paper!

I made paper, and I liked it!  This was seriously fun to do and so easy, you wouldn't believe it!  It's a great way to use your scraps, too.  I made this green paper and didn't use any green to make it.  I used scraps of yellow, turquoise and white and it became this lovely shade of green.  I added in some glitters and ended up with a gorgeous paper that I love.

4. Trim red cardstock in a horizontal A2 size with a tent fold
5. Trim a mat for image and sentiment from red cardstock
6. Trim patterned cardstock for background as shown
7. Adhere gold ribbon to patterned cardstock as shown and adhere to card front
8. Adhere sentiment to mat and set aside
9. Adhere layers as shown

Lighthouse Christmas

"You better watch out, you better not cry

Better not pout, I'm telling you why

Pretty Paisley

The new Stampendous Cling Paisley Pattern Stamp Set and matching Die Set has got to be a new favorite of mine!  I love this set and the versatility it provides.  You can create any type of card with this set!  It all hinges on the colors you use and the other stamps and embellishments you pair with it. It's one of those sets that can be girly or just right for the guys, a must in my book.  Here's the card I created for today celebrating friendship with the new Scrolled Hello Rubber Stamp.  Mask off the "my friend" and you have a simple "hello" that can be used for anyone.  Don't you just love stamps that can do double duty?  I know I do!

Here's what I did to create this card:

1. Using Memento™ ink, randomly stamp images on white paper
2. Color images with markers
3. Trim to desired card size (my card is an A2)
4. Using die, cut out the one piece to be foam mounted with the sentiment
5. With VersaFine™ ink, stamp the sentiment on a scrap of white paper and trim down to size
6. Create your card base with a vertical tent fold
7. Trim patterned paper to fit width of stamped background paper
8. Adhere sentiment to patterned paper as shown
9. Adhere all layers as shown
10. With foam squares, adhere die cut image next to sentiment
11. Using the glue pen, add glitter where desired

This was an incredibly easy card to create but it leaves a bold impact with the vibrant colors.  I do hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration to boot!  I'll see you again real soon and, in the meantime,  have a blessed weekend!
