Dreamy Embossing

Hello, hello!  Do you know what today is?  It's Stampendous Dreamweaver Thursday!  For today, I've created a card using one of the techniques in Fran Seiford's new book, Embossing Powder Techniques from A-Z.  Fran is the owner and founder of Stampendous and has been using these techniques for years.  The book is absolutely amazing, very clear instructions and so easy to follow and learn from!  Also, in case you didn't already know, Stampendous is now carrying the Milwaukee Heat Tool by Wagner.  Truly one of the best heat tools out there!

I made this card using Technique P - Molten Magic. This fun technique can be found on page 38 of the book.  It's one of my favorites!

And a close-up:

Here's what I used to create this card:

Wicked Wednesday with Oddball Art

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time (actually I'm about 12 hours late!) and this week our sponsor is Oddball Art Co.  Our theme is Happy Halloween!  For this week, I decided to merge two images.  I kept looking at this little cutie, Kendall Collector of Hearts, and kept thinking she would be so cute with a witches hat.  I don't know, there was just something that reminded me of Kiki's Delivery Service with the cute little tie.  I thought it would be a cute little dress for a young witch to wear, one still in training, so to speak.  So, there you have it, I added the hat from Tiffany the Terrible!  I love her new look, I think it suits her!

I also decided to do a front and back to this ATC.  I don't normally do that, however, I just didn't want to add anything else to the front of this one.  I really like the image and she looks like she's in a photo shoot, so...

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic® Markers
Bundled Sage Distress Ink by Ranger®
Dusty Concord Distress Ink by Ranger®
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Doodlebug Design Inc.™ Haunted Manor 6x6 Paper Pad
ZipDry™ paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color and trim to ATC size allowing for top of hat to go off edge
Edge with distress ink
Trim patterned paper for back side
Adhere front to back
Stamp images onto back side with distress ink

This was a fun ATC to create and I can't wait to see what you create to play along with us!  Let's all have a very Happy Halloween!  See you again, soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday with Alicia Bel

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Alicia Bel.  Our theme is Witches, Bats and/or Black Cats and my image today is Berta Barton.  She's such a fun image, of course, all of Alicia's images are awesome!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic® Markers
Staedtler® Pigment Liner 308
Doodlebug Design Inc™ Haunted Manor 6x6 Paper Pad
Neenah® Classic Crest® Solar White Cover Stock
Lavender Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Milled Lavender Distress Ink by Ranger®
May Arts Ribbon - Puffy Bats
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color, trim closely and edge with distress ink
Use a scrap of white to write sentiment, trim and edge with distress ink
Create ATC base from lavender cardstock
Trim patterned paper to 2.25" w by 3.25" h
Adhere all layers as shown
Attach puffy bat

I love the colors I've used on this ATC, the ultimate Halloween colors!  I simply love this time of the year.  If you're a Halloween freak like me, let me know!  It's always fun to find like-minded ghoulfriends!  Yeah, okay, that was hokey!  LOL!  Hope you'll come and play along with us this week!  See you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Dreamweaver Spookiness

We're having a hauntingly good time on the Stampendous Design Team this week!  Dreamweaver Thursday is no exception!  I've created a card for today with the coolest creepiest critter made with a Dreamweaver Stencil, a spider!  I actually kinda creeped myself out with this one as I'm horribly afraid of spiders.  Yikes!

And, here's a close-up so you can see how sparkly the spider web is:

Here's what I used to create this card:

VersaMarker™ Watermark Ink Pen by Tsukineko®
Memories™ Mists Iridescent Spray
Black Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Doodlebug Design Inc.™ Haunted Manor 6x6 Paper Pad
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of black cardstock, lay stencil over top and spritz with mist, allow to dry
Paste emboss spider over web with silver paste, set aside to dry
Trim a piece of patterned paper to fit behind stenciled piece
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from black cardstock
Ink stamps with VersaMarker pen and stamp onto black scrap of paper
Add embossing powder and heat
Create a mat for sentiment from patterned paper
Put all layers together as shown
Using foam squares, attach matted sentiment to card front

I really like the dramatic black and silver/gray color scheme of this card.  I think it's perfect for a Halloween card.  Here's a list of my teammates playing along today:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you're enjoying our hauntingly good fun this week.  I'll have another card for your spooking pleasure tomorrow!  Have a great day!

Hugs,
Lea

Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Delicata™ Silvery Shimmer Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Copic® Markers
Neenah® Classic Crest® Solar White Cardsock
Doodlebug Design Inc™ Haunted Manor 6x6 Paper Pad
Black Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Smooch™ Pearlized Accent Ink - Siren

This is what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color and fussy cut
Trim ATC base from black cardstock
Trim patterned paper with a 1/8" margin on all sides
Stamp the letters spelling Boo and color
Stamp spider web and spider in upper right corner
Add a dot of Siren Smooch to the spider
