Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp image onto white paper with Memento Ink and color with markers.

Trim stamped image and set aside.

Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from Watermelon cardstock.

Trim patterned paper to fit base.

Use reverse side of leftover strip of patterned paper for contrasting strip.

Adhere patterned papers to card base.

Using VersaFine ink pad, stamp sentiment as shown.

Trim a mat for image from Watermelon cardstock and adhere together.

Using foam mounting squares, adhere image to card.

Trim your patterned paper for the base to ATC size.

Adhere trimmed image to base.

Sprinkle on chunky embossing enamel and heat.

Using the VersaMarker Watermark Pen, add ink across the top of the "snow drifts" and add Kaleidoscope embossing powder and heat.

Write message in corner with black pen.

Dreamy Embossing

Hello, hello!  Do you know what today is?  It's Stampendous Dreamweaver Thursday!  For today, I've created a card using one of the techniques in Fran Seiford's new book, Embossing Powder Techniques from A-Z.  Fran is the owner and founder of Stampendous and has been using these techniques for years.  The book is absolutely amazing, very clear instructions and so easy to follow and learn from!  Also, in case you didn't already know, Stampendous is now carrying the Milwaukee Heat Tool by Wagner.  Truly one of the best heat tools out there!

I made this card using Technique P - Molten Magic. This fun technique can be found on page 38 of the book.  It's one of my favorites!

Wicked Wednesday with Julia Spiri

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Julia Spiri Stamps.  Our theme is Fall Fairies and the image I've used today is Little Fairy.  Julia's fairies are all just so adorable and this one is certainly no exception.  I love her sweet little shy smile!  Originally I was going to color her in more traditional fall colors but I decided to use a softer, sweeter version of oranges by using more apricot tones with some rose tones.  I just feel like fairies should be more pastel in color choices as opposed to darker colors.  I don't really know why I have that mindset, I just do.  It's all a matter of personal preference, like most art!!
