Hopping with Faber-Castell

This week our team is showcasing the Art Grip Aquarelles Watercolor Pencils, the PITT Pastel Pencils, and our very special guest Nathalie Kalbach is featuring the Gelatos! There may even be guest-starring roles by the PITT Artist Pens for doodling and drawing!  I hope you've enjoyed the colorful inspiration we've had for you this week! We’ve been Blogging in Color!

Three Lucky Winners this week will get 3 sets of the PITT Pastel Pencils (red/yellow, blue/green, neutrals), a jar of Faber-Castell Chalkboard Paint, and $20 Stampendous reward card to choose their favorite images to color! WOW… these winners must have a U.S. mailing address (official rules here!)… BUT WAIT- Aussie Fans – The Stencil Specialist has you covered again this time!! One Australian Fan will win a Stampendous Stamp, a Dreamweaver Stencil (LJ size customer choice), and one Dreamweaver Stencils Regular Embossing Paste. Wow!!

Here's my project for today:

Here's what I used to create my project:

Archival Ink™ in Jet Black from Ranger®
May Arts Ribbon
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives®
Round Cookie/Pizza Sheet from Dollar Tree Store

Here's what I did to create this project:

Punch two holes in the pan approximately 6 inches apart
Add your first coat of paint to the pan, set aside to dry
Stamp your flowers and leaves with black ink
Color half of the images with Aquarelle pencils
Add your second coat of paint to the pan, set aside to dry
Color the other half of the images with Aquarelle pencils and blend all with a water brush
Add your third coat of paint to the pan, set aside to dry
Die cut the flowers and leaves, trim any white edges if needed
Using foam squares, arrange and adhere pieces on white paper
Trim white paper beneath pieces and add foam squares to back
Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to use to hang on wall
Create a bow in center of ribbon and thread ends through holes on pan, tie together on the back
Adhere stamped floral piece between ribbon
Add sentiment and flourishes with chalk

I've been wanting to create this chalkboard for a couple of months now and this hop was the perfect opportunity with some of the best products in the business.  I'm thrilled with how cute it has turned out and I love knowing it would be super simple to create new decor to adorn it.  It can easily be changed for the season or the current holiday.

Let’s check out today’s inspiration from our designers:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  We've really had fun this week creating with Faber-Castell’s awesome products.  I'm already looking forward to the next opportunity to create with Faber-Castell.  Don't forget to comment for your chance to win a prize!  I'll see you again next week with more Stampendous goodness coming your way.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Lea

  19. Hello Lea. The more you look at this, the more you see. I love the layering of the flowers, and the depth of the pan all add great dimension to this. The colour really pops.
