Stampendous! Stamps® has some of the cutest fall stamps ever! I love scarecrows and their Friendly Scarecrow is one of the cutest! Just look at that sweet smile! Doesn't look like he scaring any birds away! That's okay, he just needs to look cute on your card, right!? Here's mine:
I stamped my image with Archival Ink in Coffee onto watercolor paper and colored it with my Derwent Inktense Pencils. I trimmed it down to size and distressed the edge with my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser. I then added some Scattered Straw Distress Ink around the edges. Next, I trimmed my checked patterned paper from Authentiques' Thankful Collection to create a mat for my image and distressed and inked the edges of it as well. I set both of those aside and created my card base from Bazzill and trimmed my patterned background paper to fit my 5" x 5" card with a 1/8" edge. Using a piece of baling twine, I adhered it to the bottom of the card and tied a couple pieces of hay to the twine. Finally, I adhered my image and mat to the card and used a couple of glue dots behind the top of the hay to hold it to the card. Sweet and simple! I just hope my neighbor didn't catch me swiping the hay out of his yard to finish my card! Tee hee hee!
Thanks for stopping by today! I'll have another card for you soon!
Hugs,
Lea

Love your card, Lea. Thanks for giving directions for making it. Miss you at the cottage when I occasionally visit, though.
