Let's Get Sticky!

Time for some Stampendous® Stamps and  Scrapbook Adhesives™ by 3L fun!  I'm a big fan of both and when you put them together, you're sure to have some creative fun!  I know I did! All week we’re playing with our friends at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. And we DEFINITELY got the better end of this bargain!! Not only did we get a bunch of adhesive to play with…we can make whatever we want because the adhesive is pretty much invisible, while over at SA they’ll be rockin’ a whole bunch of Stampendous® goodness very visibly!!! Excited much? You betcha!
Of course there will be PRIZES, (admit it, we know you only show up for the prizes!) and we’ve got some terrific ones! WE have three prize packages to give away and they contain some awesome stuff from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Stampendous®! You’re going to want to make sure you do your commenting thing this week! We’ll choose three random bloggers at the end of the week and select randomly from the comments on their posts, so be sure to get to everyone!  Now, here's my first project this week:

This is one of those projects that started out as something totally different, ever have one of those?  Originally, I didn't even plan to use this stamp!  I had intended to make a plaid background but when I did this part, it all clicked in my head and I changed course.  I created my card base from black cardstock creating a 5"x5" card.  I trimmed my white cardstock to leave a 1/8" edge for my background, no, that's not a patterned paper.  I used the Scrapbook Adhesives™ E-Z Dot's® Permanent adhesive and ran it across my piece of trimmed white cardstock creating stripes of adhesive.   I then covered the adhesive with Stampendous® Black Micro Glitter.  I love that it came out with rough edges; I think it looks really cool!  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to use Stampendous® Burglar Kiddo.

I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest and I colored it with Copics. Next I masked the image and airbrushed the blue background on before trimming it down to size.  Using more black and some green cardstock, I created a mat for my image.  I set that aside and added my Celebrate It™ Sheer Creations green ribbon from Michaels using more E-Z Dots® Permanent adhesive on the back side.  I adhered my striped piece to the card base and then, using Scrapbook Adhesives™ 3D Foam Squares in black, I adhered my matted image to the card base.  It was really a simple and fun card to create; one of those that made me smile!

Here's all the players for today, don't forget to leave a comment if you want your chance to win our awesome prize package!

  6. First of all that stamp image is adorable! Your Copic coloring is awesome but my biggest surprise was the way you created the black background stripes which of course is the perfect backdrop for that cute little burglar. Awesome card all the way around TFS

  7. I often start out with an idea and before the finished card shows up - I've changed and moved and...... things until you almost wouldn't know it was supposed to be the original card. That's one benefit to card making - you aren't bound to one idea. Great card. thanks for sharing.
