Wicked Wednesday with Polkadoodles

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and we've all channeled our inner Science Geek with Polkadoodles.  The image is the Girl Science Geek and she's just the cutest!  I took a little liberty with the Periodic Table of Elements and created my own sentiment using Livermorium and Uranium to say, "Love You."  Slightly corny and VERY geeky!  Sheldon would hate it!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Prismacolor® Pencils
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White
Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
E-Z Runner® by Scrapbook Adhesives™
Black Micron Pen by Sakura®

We would love for you to play along with our fun little challenge!  Come on and share your inner science geek with us!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Brrr, Birrrdy!

Birdy, er, Baby it's cold outside!!  Well, actually it's been pretty warm here in North Carolina, however, a cold front is headed our way.  Yuck!!  The older I get, the less I like cold weather, it makes my bones ache like nothing else can.  I do like to look at the snow, though.  It's beautiful when it's falling.  I have some woods behind my house and I do enjoy a walk through them after it's snowed.  It's so peaceful and beautiful glistening on the trees.  So, maybe I don't dislike winter as much as I thought!

This week, Stampendous has been celebrating winter in all of her glory.  My sweet little Winter Birds are enjoying a snowfall!  Aren't they adorable in their cute little hats and scarf!?  This is such a sweet stamp and I had so much fun creating this card.  The beautiful Dreamweaver Snowflakes Stencil is the perfect background for any winter-themed card, especially when sprinkled with Stampendous Crystal Micro Glitter!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® R180 Winter Birds
Stampendous® Dreamweaver Stencil LJ819 Snowflakes
Stampendous® Dreamweaver Regular Embossing Paste
Stampendous® Crystal Micro Glitter
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Radiant Neon™ Amplify™ in White by Tsukineko®
Copic® Markers - E41, E42, E43, E44, W4, W7, YG93, YG95, YG97, B91, B93, B95, R24, R27, R29, R59, G40, G43, G46
Little Yellow Bicycle® "Winterings" Collection Patterned Paper
Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™2 Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesive
Scrapbook Adhesives® 3D Foam Mounting Squares by 3L®

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of blue cardstock and tape stencil over paper, paste emboss with white paste.
Remove stencil carefully and cover snowflakes with crystal micro glitter, tap off excess glitter and return to jar.
Set aside pasted piece to dry.
Stamp image with black ink and color with markers.
Fussy cut image.
Add Amplify where there's supposed to be snow and heat to puff.
Use finger to add glue to puffed "snow" and sprinkle on glitter, tap off excess and return to jar.
Create an A-2 card base with a tent fold.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".
Adhere layers as shown.
Add foam squares to back of birds and adhere to the front of the card.

Here's the list of my teammates with more inspiration:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you've enjoyed my card, I'll have another fun winter card to share with you tomorrow.  In the meantime, have a wonderful New Year's Eve and please be safe!  See you next year!

Hugs,
Lea

P.S.  I think I'm going to enter this one in the Outlawz Color Challenge!

It's A Wrap!

Merry Christmas!  So, about the time this post goes live, that will be about the time when I can say, "It's a wrap!"  That's when I'll be finished wrapping gifts and stuffing stockings.  I am the absolute worst about procrastinating on certain projects, let's just say, Christmas is always a project!  LOL!  It's not that I don't enjoy Christmas and all it stands for, I just feel like it has become far too commercialized and it's not enough about the true meaning.  I find myself stressing over whether or not people will love their presents and was I fair amongst the kids, etc, etc, etc!  And, since I'm always in a rush this time of year, it's helpful when I can create a card with my favorite Stampendous products that takes mere minutes to put together and is still appealing to me.  Today's card is one of those cards, quick, easy and still sweet!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Memento™ Tangelo Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Recollections™ Jolly Holiday 6x6 Paper Pad
Pink Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
May Arts Ribbon®
Inexpensive Watercolor Set
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Scrapbook Adhesives® 3D Foam Mounting Squares by 3L®

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of white paper and wash some watercolors over it.
Die cut the presents and bow and adhere bows to the gifts.
Trim a piece of pink cardstock to create an A2 card base.
Attach a piece of ribbon to the piece of watercolored paper.
Adhere this to the card base.
Attach gifts to the front of the card.
Stamp sentiment in orange ink over largest gift.

Here's where you can find more inspiration today:

I love the non-traditional colors I've used on this card!  It just makes me happy!  I hope you enjoy it, too.  I sincerely hope you have the merriest of Christmases!  I'll see you next year, have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Lea

Dreamweaver Spookiness

We're having a hauntingly good time on the Stampendous Design Team this week!  Dreamweaver Thursday is no exception!  I've created a card for today with the coolest creepiest critter made with a Dreamweaver Stencil, a spider!  I actually kinda creeped myself out with this one as I'm horribly afraid of spiders.  Yikes!

And, here's a close-up so you can see how sparkly the spider web is:

Here's what I used to create this card:

VersaMarker™ Watermark Ink Pen by Tsukineko®
Memories™ Mists Iridescent Spray
Black Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Doodlebug Design Inc.™ Haunted Manor 6x6 Paper Pad
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of black cardstock, lay stencil over top and spritz with mist, allow to dry
Paste emboss spider over web with silver paste, set aside to dry
Trim a piece of patterned paper to fit behind stenciled piece
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from black cardstock
Ink stamps with VersaMarker pen and stamp onto black scrap of paper
Add embossing powder and heat
Create a mat for sentiment from patterned paper
Put all layers together as shown
Using foam squares, attach matted sentiment to card front

I really like the dramatic black and silver/gray color scheme of this card.  I think it's perfect for a Halloween card.  Here's a list of my teammates playing along today:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you're enjoying our hauntingly good fun this week.  I'll have another card for your spooking pleasure tomorrow!  Have a great day!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday and Digi My World

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Digi My World.  This week our theme is Not In Kansas Anymore and I've used the Big Eye Oz collection with Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion!  Yep, you read that right, all four characters! I used the same scenario for each which kept it very simple and tied them all together rather nicely!

Here's what I used to create these ATCs:

Copic® Markers
Spectrum Noir™ Markers
Green Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
May Arts Ribbon®
Christmas Red Stickles™
Scrapbook Adhesives® 3D Foam Mounting Squares by 3L®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create these ATCs:

Print all four characters, color and fussy cut each one
Trim four pieces of blue cardstock to ATC size
Trim two pieces of green cardstock and die cut trees
Cut die cut trees in half and then trim to ATC width
Adhere cut trees to blue ATC, color tree trunks and branches gray
Using Stickles™, add "apples" to trees
Adhere yellow ribbon to bottom of each ATC, go over ribbon with yellow marker
Using foam squares, attach each character to their ATC
Add Stickles™ to Dorothy's shoes, set aside to dry

The ribbon that I used wasn't quite yellow enough, it was originally more of a butter color.  My solution was to pull out a Spectrum Noir™ marker and brighten it!  I love how easy it is to fix those aggravating little problems with these markers!  I know I didn't have to do all four characters but I just couldn't decide which one to do since they're all so darn cute.  These were quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Lea

Oodles of Doodles

At Stampendous, we've had a fun week of sharing projects with doodles and tangles, today is our last day for this particular theme.  My card today is done with our new PenPattern Elephant and it's ready for doodles or tangles or just color or both.  That's the lovely thing about our PenPattern stamps, they're ready for whatever your imagination can come up with!  Here's my card today and it has oodles of doodles!

I tried to give it a little bit of a Persian/Indian flair or maybe even a bit of a circus look.  I just had fun and let the PenPattern lines lead me.  I really love how this turned out!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink by Tsukineko®
Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Memento™ London Fog Ink by Tsukineko®
Ribbon by May Arts®
Staedtler® Pigment Liner 308
Copic® Markers (C1, C3, C4, C5)
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives® by 3L®

Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp elephant on white cardstock.
Doodle areas as shown.
Color remaining areas with gray markers.
Trim image to desired size.
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold.
Trim a mat for main image from black cardstock.
Adhere image to mat and then to card base.
Stamp sentiment in black ink on white cardstock.
Trim sentiment to desired size.
Trim a mat to fit sentiment from black cardstock.
Adhere sentiment to mat.
Cut ric-rac to fit width of card and attach as shown.
Attach sentiment to card with foam squares as shown.

Here's the list of my teammates playing along today:

That's it for me today!  I hope you have enjoyed the Design Team's doodles and tangles this past week, I know we had fun creating them!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you again next week with more fun projects.

Lea
