Wicked Wednesday with A Day for Daisies

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and we're celebrating the coming of Spring with A Day for Daisies.  This week my image is A Special Flower and it is totally adorable!  I love Poppies and since I'm an Army Veteran, I really love Poppies!  I love that they're in remembrance of my fallen comrades.  This sweet little girl just really appealed to me, there's an innocence about her face that pulls me in.  Perhaps its her innocence, while in remembrance of so much loss, that tugs at my heart.  My dad passed away two and a half years ago and he spent 20 years serving our country in the United States Navy.  Two days ago it was his birthday.  I suppose a lot of what I'm feeling is due to my missing him so deeply.

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Tim Holtz® Faded Jeans Distress Ink by Ranger®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon
Copic® Markers:  E04, 21, 41, 42, 43, 44, 47, 49, 50, 51; B32, 34, 37; YG17; BV01;
R14, 17, 20, 29, 46

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color and trim as shown
Stamp sentiment
Add distress ink all around image but not over girl
Add a small dot of glue to the center of each flower and add glitter, shake off excess and set aside to dry

Super easy ATC but so sweet!  I wanted to keep this one simple in honor of all the fallen soldiers and in honor of my dad.  Yes, we're celebrating the coming of Spring but this image just meant more to me than that.  Thanks for indulging me!  So, come and play along with us and show us your best Spring image!  I'm looking forward to seeing what you've made!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday and A Day for Daisies

Hey everybody!  It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is A Day for Daisies.  The image I've used today is Vintage Tree Party and our theme this week is "Happy Holidays."  This was such a sweet image and I really loved bringing it to life.

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

A Muse® Cozy Christmas
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink by Tsukineko®
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Recollections® Sugar Plums 6x6 Paper Pad
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon® Adhesives
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pens - Variety of Colors
Copic® Markers -
  • E23, 25, 27, 31, 34, 37, 42, 43, 44, 49, 50, 51, 53, 57, 59, 93
  • R24, 27, 29, 59
  • BV00, 01, 02, 04
  • G05, 21, 24, 28, 99
  • C0, 1, 3

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print digital image and color, trim to fit on ATC size (2.4" x 3.5") base with a small border
Trim ATC base and adhere image to base
On a scrap, stamp sentiment, cut in half, edge with red and adhere to ATC

Pretty simple and straight forward!  This image really didn't need much beyond a sweet sentiment.  I hope you feel inspired to play along with our challenge this week.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday is A Day for Daisies

That's right!  It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is A Day for Daisies with a theme of Something Girly.  One of the things I truly love about A Day for Daisies images is how they are all simple but so sweet.  They are truly one of my favorite digital companies!  This image is Tiny Pixie Leaf and she is just so adorable!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Cardstock from Bazzill Basics Paper™
Pebbles™ Family Ties 6x6 Paper Pad
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Memento™ Pistachio Ink by Tsukineko®
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink in Antique Linen
Queen & Co.® Pearls in Teal
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Copic® Markers:
  • YG91, 93, 95, 97
  • BG05, 07, 57
  • E00, 11, 33, 93
  • BV00

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color with markers, trim to desired size
Add distress ink all around white cs and edges
Stamp sentiment in lower right corner
Trim Bazzill™ to ATC size (2 1/2 x 3 1/2)
Trim patterned paper for background as shown
Adhere all three layers with paper glue
Free-hand cut six leaves from dot paper, adhere to ATC
Using marker, add some shading to each leaf
Adhere small pearl to each group of leaves

That's it for this Wednesday.  I do hope you'll play along with our challenge here; you might just win!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Hugs,
Lea
