Happy...

...Birthday to someone very special!  There are some people that come into your life through social media connections that you never get to meet in person.  In spite of that, you become friends and that friend creates a special nook in your heart and you know they're there to stay.  Such is the case with my Stampendous teammate, Janelle!  She is such a sweetheart of a friend and, bless her heart, she's been given the task of keeping the team in line for our fearless leader, Laura!  We joke about herding cats on a regular basis!  Can you imagine what it's like dealing with a bunch of artists week after week!  LOL!  Janelle is a total saint and we all love her!

To honor Janelle on her special day, the design team has put together a fun hop just for her! Here's my card using the new all-in-one stamp, Birthday Balloons.

Happy Birthday, Janelle!

Write sentiment with glitter pen.
Trim ATC base from blue cardstock.
Adhere layers together.

So, what's the weather like in your part of the world?  It's been cold here in North Carolina and we even had snow on the ground yesterday.   Now it's supposed to be warm for several days and then more snow next week!  Yeah, it's bi-polar weather around here!  So, no matter the weather in your area, pretend it's cold and show us your best chilly ATC linked here.  I look forward to seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color with markers and cut out.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to 3.25"x2.25".
Stamp sentiment and snowflakes with blue ink (use stamping off* technique for larger flakes).
Trim base of ATC to 3.5"x2.5" and adhere patterned paper to base.
Adhere fussy cut image to to front of ATC.

That's it for me today!  I hope you'll feel inspired enough to play along with our challenge!  Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

*Stamping Off is also known as Repetition Stamping. It allows you to achieve different tones of one color because the amount of ink on the image lessens each time you press it on the paper, so the image becomes lighter.  Ink your stamp, stamp it onto a scrap piece of paper, then stamp again onto your project.

Wise Gifts

All this week, the Design Team at Stampendous has been sharing cards created to show the “Reason for the Season.”  My card today uses Wise Gifts depicting the three Kings or Wise Men, which ever you prefer to call them.  I always found it fitting that those men chose to seek Him and honor Him with gifts befitting a King.  Such a beautiful celebration of one so tiny!

Here’s what I used to create this card:

Stampendous:
P272 Wise Gifts

Plus:
Chameleon™ Markers (NU3, CG8, BR2, YO3, OL3, BV4, BL3, PR4, RD4, VO4, BL6)
Delicata™ Golden Glitz Pigment Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pen in Sand by Too Marker Products®
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pen in Gold by Too Marker Products®
Olive Green Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Purples Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
ZipDry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives™

Here’s what I did to create this card:

1. Stamp image and color, add glitter pen ink to crowns and vessels.
2. Edge trimmed image in gold ink.
3. Trim green cardstock for mat and edge in gold ink.
4. Create an A2 card base in a tent fold from purple cardstock.
5. Using the stamp that mimics peeled paint, stamp gold ink on front of card base, allow a few minutes for ink to dry as this new ink will air dry within minutes.
6. Adhere all layers.

Here’s a list of my teammates that are also posting today, it would be awesome if you left them some love for their efforts:

Thanks so very much for stopping by today.  I hope you’ve found some inspiration along the way for creating your own Christmas cards.  I’ll see you next week with more projects to share.  Have a wonderful weekend!  Merry Christmas!

Hugs,
Lea

Here’s what I did to create this card:

Stamp penguin with black ink, color with markers and pens and fussy cut.
Create a card base from black cardstock cut to 4.25” x 11” and fold in half.
Trim patterned paper to 4” x 5.25”.
Trim a piece of black cardstock to 3.75” x 5”, tape stencil over this piece and paste with regular embossing paste.
Trim a piece of white paper at least 3.75” wide, tear three strips across the width to create snow banks
Once embossing paste is dry, glue torn pieces across the bottom as shown.
Stamp sentiment in bottom right corner with black ink.
Run blue marker across torn edges, add glue and then glitter.
Layer and adhere papers as shown.
Using Action Wobble, attach penguin to card.
Wobble!

Here's a list of my teammates playing along today:
