Wicked Wednesday and A Day for Daisies

Hey everybody!  It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is A Day for Daisies.  The image I've used today is Vintage Tree Party and our theme this week is "Happy Holidays."  This was such a sweet image and I really loved bringing it to life.

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

A Muse® Cozy Christmas
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink by Tsukineko®
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Recollections® Sugar Plums 6x6 Paper Pad
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon® Adhesives
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pens - Variety of Colors
Copic® Markers -
  • E23, 25, 27, 31, 34, 37, 42, 43, 44, 49, 50, 51, 53, 57, 59, 93
  • R24, 27, 29, 59
  • BV00, 01, 02, 04
  • G05, 21, 24, 28, 99
  • C0, 1, 3

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print digital image and color, trim to fit on ATC size (2.4" x 3.5") base with a small border
Trim ATC base and adhere image to base
On a scrap, stamp sentiment, cut in half, edge with red and adhere to ATC

Pretty simple and straight forward!  This image really didn't need much beyond a sweet sentiment.  I hope you feel inspired to play along with our challenge this week.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday with KennyK

Hello there!  That's right, it's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is KennyK!  Our theme this week is "You're A Star" and the image is City Star Christmas Digital Image.  She's a sweet one to color!  I decided to use some non-traditional colors for this one, just needed a break from the traditional red and green.

My papers are all from the scrap pile and unfortunately, I don't have a clue who made these but they just seemed perfect for the direction I wanted this to go.  So, I apologize for not knowing the maker for this one.  She's colored with Copics listed here:
  • Skin:  E00, 11, 33, 93
  • Eyes:  YG93, 95, 97
  • Lips:  R35, 37, 39
  • Hair:  E40, 41, 42, 43
  • Hat:  B95, 97, 99; W0, 1, 4
  • Background:  YG61, 63, 67; C0, 1, 3, 5; B91, 93, 95; W0, 1; 0

I also used an EK Success punch for the additional stars, which I then rounded the points of with scissors.  My sentiment is from A Muse.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  You're greatly appreciated and in my eyes, you're a star!  We would love for you to play along with our challenge.  We even have a new fb page for you to visit. Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge.  Stop by and join in on the fun!  I'll see you again soon!  Have a great day!

Hugs,
Lea

  • C00, 0, 1
  • E30, 31, 33, 41, 42, 43, 44, 50, 51, 53, 93

Feeling Royal?

Today we are previewing the Red Queen, our newest image in the Alice in Wonderland Chibis Collection from Simply B Stamps.  She looks so much like the Tim Burton version, more so I believe than any of the others so far.  I do believe Helena Bonham Carter would be pleased!

I decided to use the sketch challenge found on my fellow design team member's blog.  She would so love for you to play along too!  She's still kind of new to doing her own sketches and she has great prizes so tell all your friends and let's get sketchy with Cyndi B!  I've added my own little twist to it but that's what it's all about.  I hope you will take time to visit the SBS blog and check out what the rest of the design team has put together for you.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look and comment if the mood strikes you!

Hugs,
Lea

Double your pleasure...

...double your fun!  Today you get a two for one!

On the Simply B Stamps blog we are previewing the new Teen Scene Birthday Munsters Collection.  Needless to say, I'm just a wee bit behind having gone to CHA Convention in California.  Have I told you yet that I hung out with our very own Betty Roberts, creator of so much goodness!?  Well, I did!  I had such a good time and almost hated to come back home.  However, all good things must come to an end and now I'm back to reality and back to creating cuteness for your viewing pleasure.

First up is Birthday Pugsly Christian.  He was actually previewed yesterday but since I'm a day behind, you get to see my version today.  He's such a cutie, too!  My image is on Neenah Classic Crest and colored with Copics.  I added my own grass to polish off the image which is matted on Bazzill.  My card base is Bazzill and my patterned paper is Doodlebug Design's Surprise Party.  My sentiment is from A Muse and stamped in Tim Holtz gathered twigs distress ink.  I added red grosgrain ribbon from my stash for that little extra pop of color.  Now there you have it, a simple card without a lot of fuss!

Next us is Party Lola!  This girl is ready to throw on her party hat for a good time and a little rock and roll!  As with Christian, Lola is on Neenah Class Crest and colored with Copics.  There's just something about Lola that makes me want to color funky hair.  I don't know what it is, maybe it's a secret desire to have my own hair in some fun shade like purple or pink.  It must be my inner punk rocker!  Anyway, this little Sweetie is colored with Copics and matted on Bazzill.  My base is Bazzill and my patterned papers are from Three Bugs in a Rug's Butterfly Kisses.  This time I used a piece of the patterned paper to create a party hat complete with pom-poms!  I typed my sentiment on the computer and printed it out to layer and mount with pop dots.  Lola is also pop-dotted with a double stack of pop dots to make sure the pom-pom trim on the hat fit underneath.

Both cards were relatively simple to create and so much fun to color!  I hope you have enjoyed them and please come back tomorrow for another sneak peak.  You know you want to see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Lea

Kitty Love London

Okay folks, it's the second day of the new year, how's it going so far?  I've decided this is the "Year of Lea" and all things wonderful are going to happen!  I'm going to really focus on my stamping projects, my blog and teaching classes.  Yes, I know I have a full-time and a part-time job but that is not going to stop me from doing what I love and THIS is what I love!  Look at Kitty Love London from Simply B Stamps.  Who could possibly not love her and her little sidekick?  I mean, she's adorable!  She's everything I used to be, skinny and cute with long gorgeous hair!  The only thing left is the long hair and soon that will be donated to Locks of Love and I won't even have that!  Well at least I have my stamps, right?

On this card I used Bazzill for my base and used My Mind's Eye "be loved" collection for my pattern paper and color inspiration.  My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics.  My sentiment is from A Muse.  Both the sentiment and image pieces were edged with Bundled Sage Distress Ink from Tim Holtz.  The flowers I added were from my stash.  The bottom layer of the flowers is paper and had a really ugly reddish middle to them so I just covered that up with some white flowers I colored with my Copics.  I added a little bling to the center of each just to "purr-tyfy" it!  I also used my peach Spica pen on the hearts but unfortunately I can never get my camera to show the sparkle.  Grrr!  Anyway, here she is and isn't she fabulous?  Thanks for stopping by to take a look.  Comments and suggestions are always appreciated, just keep it clean and I already know where to go 'cause I've been there and back!  It was toasty!

Hugs!

Lea
