Peony Umbrella

It's time for some Stampendous House-Mouse Designs fun! My card today uses Peony Umbrella and I just love this stamp! Peonies have always been a favorite flower of mine so this card was extra fun to color. I'm sure you will love it, too!

Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp image, color, and trim closely
Trim an A2 card base from green cardstock
Trim a piece of pink cardstock to 5.25” x 4” and stamp with script stamp
Trim a piece of green cardstock as shown
Adhere all layers

Wicked Wednesday with Julia Spiri

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Julia Spiri Stamps. Our theme is Fall Fairies and the image I've used today is Little Fairy. Julia's fairies are all just so adorable and this one is certainly no exception. I love her sweet little shy smile! Originally I was going to color her in more traditional fall colors but I decided to use a softer, sweeter version of oranges by using more apricot tones with some rose tones. I just feel like fairies should be more pastel in color choices as opposed to darker colors. I don't really know why I have that mindset, I just do. It's all a matter of personal preference, like most art!!

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color with markers and trim to 2.25"x3.25".

Edge image with green ink.

Stamp sentiment with black ink.

Trim patterned paper to 2.5"x3.5" for ATC base.

Adhere image to ATC base.

Remembering Lily

Today we are remembering Lily Chilvers a truly beautiful artist and soul taken from us too soon.

To honour Lily we are sharing projects we have made in her memory using the wonderful, whimsical and wacky art she shared with us all.

For my card I've used the image called Heidi. I loved that she was holding a heart and seemed to have a sad expression that fits the way I feel. As my card says, Lily will remain forever in our hearts. The way she touched so many with her fun art will continue to live on with each of us.
