Here's what I did to create this card:
  1. Using VersaMark™ Watermark Ink Pad, stamp witch image, sprinkle on black ep and heat
  2. Trim image as shown
  3. Create a mat from green cardstock for image
  4. Trim a piece of black cardstock and stamp spiderwebs randomly all over in silver ink
  5. On a scrap of white cardstock, stamp sentiment and color the word “Spook” with green
  6. Create a green mat for the sentiment and a green card base from the same paper
  7. Layer all pieces

Wisemen Seek Him

It's the last day for this week's theme The Reason for the Season at Stampendous and I'm finishing off my week with our beautiful Wisemen Seek Him rubber stamp.  This card is so simple but it has a certain elegance, in my opinion, at least!  This card design would certainly make some super fast Christmas cards if you're like me and pressed for time.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® Wisemen Seek Him Rubber Stamp
Stampendous® Detail Silver Embossing Powder
VersaMark™ Watermark Ink Pad by Tsukineko
Delicata™ Silvery Shimmer Pigment Ink Pad by Tsukineko
Hug Snug® White Seam Binding
Arctic Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives®
E-Z Runner® by Scrapbook Adhesives™

I didn't have any silver ribbon to use for my project so, being the clever girl I am, I ran my silver Delicata™ pad over my white seam binding.  I wish the photo showed the shimmer you can see in real life.  So pretty!

Thank you for joining us this week and for stopping by my blog.  I'll see you again next week for another week of Stampendous inspiration.  In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Lea

Trick or Treat!  It's Day 20 of the 31 Days of Halloween and my card today features Haunted Hill Rubber Stamp from Stampendous.  Given the opportunity, I would so love to live in this house!  The spooky vibe just thrills my heart to the core.  Years ago when I was just a kid, this is the kind of house I would be scared to Trick or Treat at but I would do it anyway just to prove I'm not a chicken!  LOL!  I love Halloween and all of the fun and scariness that comes with it! And, yes, in case you think you're seeing double, my card was used for part of the banner design, which is always an honor.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous Products:

Haunted Hill Rubber Stamp
Halloween Hats Cling Stamps and Dies Set
Olive Opaque Embossing Powder
Mixed Media White Paper
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®

Copic® Markers (Y11, Y21, Y38, YG95, YG97, RV55, E09, E53, B95, B97, V06, C1, C5)

Here's what I did to create this card:
  1. Stamp image with Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink on white paper.
  2. Color image with markers.
  3. Trim image closely.
  4. Stamp sentiment with VersaMark™ Watermark Ink on black paper.
  5. Sprinkle on Olive Opaque Embossing Powder, shake off excess powder and heat sentiment.
  6. Trim sentiment closely.
  7. Trim green cardstock in a horizontal A2 size with a tent fold.
  8. Trim a mat for image and sentiment from black cardstock.
  9. Adhere sentiment to mat and set aside.

Don't forget, if you've missed some days, stop by the special page on the Stampendous blog DAILY so you don't miss any inspiration and PRIZES. There are details that you'll want to read that were shared on the first day here.

Now, I'm off to scare up some more Halloween fun and I'll see you again in a few days!  In the meantime, let's get spooky!

Happy Friday!  Are you ready to get your craft on for the weekend?  If you are, then have you checked out the new line of Laurel Burch stamps Stampendous is carrying?  You're going to love them!  I've always loved her bright, happy works of art and now I have the pleasure of creating my own with her images.  For my card today, I've used Laurel Burch Cling Indigo Cats Stamp Set, my favorite!

Different angles to show the gold!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Clowning Around

It's October 15th, already!  Only two more weeks until Trick or Treat!  So, it's also time for a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge and this week our sponsor is Oddball Art Co.  I've used image Casey the Clown #75B for my card.  Here's the list of things to chose from for this challenge, remember, you need to use at least 3.

And here is my card using 1, 3, 4, 7 and 9:

Here's what I used to create this card:

VersaFine™ Onyx Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko® for Imagine®
Memento™ New Sprout Ink Pad by Tsukineko® for Imagine®
VersaMark™ Watermark Ink Pad by Tsukineko® for Imagine®
Copic® Markers
DecoArt® Media™ Matte Medium
Basicgrey® Eerie Paper Pad
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White
Lime Green Bazzill Basics Paper®
Orange Bazzill Basics Paper®
May Arts® Ribbon
E-Z Runner® by Scrapbook Adhesives™

I had a lot of fun playing "mad scientist" and mixing my own embossing powder mix!  I added a little of each of the embossing powders listed above, along with the lime and orange micro glitters.  It's so much fun to mix things up and see what you come up with.  For the corners, I've mixed the lime color fragments with black crushed glass glitter and orange micro glitter.  Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look!  I hope you're inspired to play along with our challenge and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday with AMB Illustrations

It's time for another Wicked Wednesday ATC Blog Challenge and this week our sponsor is AMB Illustrations.  We've got a fun theme this week, Christmas in July!  The image I've used is from the set Christmas Birds, one of several adorable birds in a set mixed with Christmas decor.  They're all super cute and it was not easy to pick just one to feature.

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic® Markers
My Mind's Eye® 'Tis the Season
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White
Stampendous® Chunky White Embossing Enamel
Stampendous® Kaleidoscope Sparkly Embossing Powder
VersaMarker™ Watermark Pen by Tsukineko® for Imagine Crafts®
Staedtler® Black Pen
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color and fussy cut the top have of the image only.
Trim your patterned paper for the base to ATC size.
Adhere trimmed image to base.
Sprinkle on chunky embossing enamel and heat.
Using the VersaMarker Watermark Pen, add ink across the top of the "snow drifts" and add Kaleidoscope embossing powder and heat.
Write message in corner with black pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  We would love for you to join us this week for our Christmas In July challenge.  I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Elegant Elephant

Today’s the last day of the Stampendous blog hop showcasing our stamps designed by Nathalie Kalbach, mixed media artist extraordinaire.  For the January release this year, Nat designed 3 new and innovative mixed media sets that include a 2-sided foam stamp, a cling rubber stamp and a coordinating stencil, all of which create great options for the paper crafter and mixed media artist.

For today’s project, I’ve used Elephant.  My daughter, Erin, loves elephants and this project is for her.  I’m going to have it framed so she can hang it in her bedroom.

Here’s what I’ve used for this project:

Delicata™ Gold Glitz Ink Pad by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
VersaMark™ Watermark Stamp Pad by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
Memento™ Tangelo Ink Pad by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
Memento™ Love Letter Ink Pad by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
VersaMarker™ Watermark Pen by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
Memories Mist™ in Fruit Punch, Mango Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Cherry Smoothie and  Bright Gold
Strathmore® Mixed Media Paper
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here’s what I did for this project:

Trim mixed media paper to 8” x 8”.
Spritz paper with fruit punch, pink lemonade, mango lemonade and cherry smoothie mists.
Using stencil from Elephant set, spritz with bright gold mist, move and repeat as desired.
Using damask stencil, sponge on Golden Glitz ink in random areas.
Ink stamp from Mish Mesh set with Love Letter ink and stamp randomly.
Ink stamp from Wired set (retired) with Tangelo ink and stamp randomly.
Using VersaMark ink pad, stamp border, add embossing powder and heat.
On a separate piece of mixed media paper, stamp elephant, add embossing powder and heat.
Using VersaMarker pen, add ink inside embossed elephant, add embossing powder and heat.
Cut out elephant and adhere to inked and stamped piece.

Here’s a list of my teammates playing along today:

Lea Fritts (me!)

One of the things I love about embossing the elephant twice, you get the great texture from the design but you have full coverage with the gold embossing powder.  I think this is going to look amazing framed!

We are mixing it up for three commenters during the hop. Each prize package includes all three of Nathalie Kalbach’s Foam, Cling Rubber and Stencil Stamp sets. But WAIT! This is open to everyone!  Comment on each blog post at Stampendous and that of each designer’s post on the hop this week. We’ll announce winners on Monday May 2nd.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'll be posting this weekend if you want to come back by and check it out.  See you soon!

Hugs,
Lea
