Brushed Wishes and Birthday Mischief

Are you in love with the brushed style writing that is so popular right now?  I am, and, I have to admit, I stink at it!  Oh yeah!  There's just something about the way you hold the pen that I can't seem to grasp.  Well, now I don't have to worry about it because Stampendous!® has taken care of it for me!  This week has been all about our beautiful new brushed sentiments and the brushed alphabet that's super cool.  For my card I've used Brushed Wishes Perfectly Clear™ Stamp Set along with the super cute House-Mouse® Designs Birthday Mischief Rubber Stamp.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Tombow Time!

It is always a great time hopping with Tombow USA and we are thrilled to be hopping over the weekend with them. Our design teams will be sharing some pretty awesome projects with products from our prizes list, you will not want to miss out on a single day!

So, now that you've seen the fabulous Stampendous Metal Stencil Duo Sets, what do you think?  For today's card, I've used the new Hearts Metal Stencil Duo Set.  I collect heart-shaped things so this one really speaks to me.  This is especially nice for Valentine's Day!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® Heart Metal Stencil Duo Set
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Tombow® Permanent Mono Glue Pen
Dylusions™ Bubblegum Pink Spray Mist by Ranger®
IrRESISTible™ Colored Texture Spray in Lilac Posies by Imagine Crafts®
Viva Decor® Pearl Pen in Ice White
Gelly Roll™ White Gel Pen
Ki Bright Geo Paper Pad by Hampton Art®
Bubblegum Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
I.5" Sheer Dots Ribbon in Fuchsia/White by May Arts Ribbon®

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of white cardstock (cs) to fit two hearts.
Using the enclosed pen with the Stencil Duo heart stencil, outline the main heart shape onto the white cs.
Remove the heart stencil and place the other stencil over the outline of the heart.
Move the stencil around to suit your needs for the design and draw the design into the heart.
Color this heart with color pencils, add white dots with gel pen and cut out.
Put the heart stencil back onto the leftover white cardstock and this time, using the glue pen, outline the heart shape and write the sentiment, this is known as glue resist technique.
Once the glue dries, spritz on the pink mists and then wipe off the extra spray from the glue areas.
Cut out the second heart leaving enough edge to see the glue portion.
Trim Bazzill® cardstock to create an A-2 card base with a tent fold.
Trim patterned paper to fit inside card base.
Wrap ribbon around patterned paper and adhere tails to back side of paper.
Adhere patterned paper to card base.
Adhere hearts to card front.
Last, but not least, add Pearl Pen™ pearls around edge of spritzed heart.

Blankets and Buttons

We are SO EXCITED to be hopping with Buttons Galore and More for a whole week. We have some fun projects to share that all include an abundance of buttons that were so generously sent to our team.

Buttons Galore and More provides a wide selection including specialty designed embellishments for celebrations, holidays, and various other events and themes. Find a plethora of choices on their website at Buttons Galore and More!

This week has been one of those weeks when I would love to grab a blanket, curl up and hide from the world!  Well, since I can’t do that, I’ve got a super cute little House-Mouse® that can!  Isn’t this a sweet stamp?  I love it!  I tried to mimic the patterned paper with my design of circles and hexagons and I have to admit, I’m pretty pleased with the results.  The sweet buttons from Buttons Galore was the perfect finishing touch!

Here’s what I used to create this card:

Stampendous:

Plus:
Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Memories Growing Garden Patterned Paper by Ki®
Nestabilities® Hexagon Dies by Spellbinders® Paper Arts
Nestabilities® Circle Dies by Spellbinders® Paper Arts
Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread®
Copic® Markers (T2, T4, T6, E50, E51, E53, R02, R81, R83, R85, R87, C0, C1)

Here’s what I did to create this card:

Stamp Baby Blanket image with black ink, color with markers and die cut with largest hexagon die.
Stamp sentiment with black ink and die cut with smallest hexagon die.
Die cut largest circle and smallest circle from green cardstock.
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from green cardstock.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to fit 1/8″ smaller than card base on all sides.
Adhere patterned paper to card base.
Adhere hexagonal die cut sentiment to small die cut circle.
Adhere hexagonal die cut main image to large die cut circle and then adhere to card front.
Layer sentiment onto large button, adhere to card.
Layer smaller buttons with crochet thread and adhere to card as shown.
Thread single button with crochet thread and adhere to card as shown.
