The Twine is Divine

The Stampendous DT is having a great time with Whisker Graphics this week, enjoying the mix of Whisker Graphics goodies with stamps, stencils and Essentials. It’s a perfect ingredient list for party decor and gifts, right?

For my project today, everything’s coming up daisies!  I’ve had this idea in my head since our supplies arrived, I’m so glad it’s finally out.  Now I have room for something new!  LOL!

Here’s what I used to create this card and tag:

Copic® Markers - Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, B0000, B12
Spectrum Aqua™ Markers - Peacock Blue, Meadow, Moss
Yellow Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Strathmore® Mixed Media Paper
E-Z Runner® from Scrapbook Adhesives® by 3L™
3D Foam Mounting Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives® by 3L™
Glue Pen from Tombow®

Here’s what I did to create this card and tag:

Stamp 3 flowers, color and die cut.
Trim a piece of mixed media paper to 4” x 5 1/4”.
Add some ink from blue aqua marker onto an acrylic block, using a water brush, pick up ink and brush onto paper.
Add ink from yellow aqua marker and green aqua marker onto acrylic block, mix and paint onto paper.
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from yellow cardstock.
Adhere painted paper to card base.
Trim two pieces of solid twine to use as flower stems, using glue pen, adhere to card front.
Add foam squares to backs of two flowers and adhere to card.
Paint the front of the tag in the same manner as the card front.
Trim a piece of solid twine for flower stem on tag and adhere with glue pen.
Using a foam square, mount flower to front of tag.

Tombow Time!

It is always a great time hopping with Tombow USA and we are thrilled to be hopping over the weekend with them. Our design teams will be sharing some pretty awesome projects with products from our prizes list, you will not want to miss out on a single day!

So, now that you've seen the fabulous Stampendous Metal Stencil Duo Sets, what do you think?  For today's card, I've used the new Hearts Metal Stencil Duo Set.  I collect heart-shaped things so this one really speaks to me.  This is especially nice for Valentine's Day!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® Heart Metal Stencil Duo Set
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Tombow® Permanent Mono Glue Pen
Dylusions™ Bubblegum Pink Spray Mist by Ranger®
IrRESISTible™ Colored Texture Spray in Lilac Posies by Imagine Crafts®
Viva Decor® Pearl Pen in Ice White
Gelly Roll™ White Gel Pen
Ki Bright Geo Paper Pad by Hampton Art®
Bubblegum Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
I.5" Sheer Dots Ribbon in Fuchsia/White by May Arts Ribbon®

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of white cardstock (cs) to fit two hearts.
Using the enclosed pen with the Stencil Duo heart stencil, outline the main heart shape onto the white cs.
Remove the heart stencil and place the other stencil over the outline of the heart.
Move the stencil around to suit your needs for the design and draw the design into the heart.
Color this heart with color pencils, add white dots with gel pen and cut out.
Put the heart stencil back onto the leftover white cardstock and this time, using the glue pen, outline the heart shape and write the sentiment, this is known as glue resist technique.
Once the glue dries, spritz on the pink mists and then wipe off the extra spray from the glue areas.
Cut out the second heart leaving enough edge to see the glue portion.
Trim Bazzill® cardstock to create an A-2 card base with a tent fold.
Trim patterned paper to fit inside card base.
Wrap ribbon around patterned paper and adhere tails to back side of paper.
Adhere patterned paper to card base.
Adhere hearts to card front.
Last, but not least, add Pearl Pen™ pearls around edge of spritzed heart.

Duo Designs

It is always a great time hopping with Tombow USA and we are thrilled to be hopping over the weekend with them. Our design teams will be sharing some pretty awesome projects with products from our prizes list, you will not want to miss out on a single day!  So, you've seen the fabulous Stampendous Metal Stencil Duo Sets and our new Fitted Frames Die Sets, what you don't see are the wonderful Tombow products holding it all together!

For today, I've created two cards at one time with a fun Batik look using the Blossom Metal Stencil Due Set.  One card uses the positive of the stencils and the other card uses the spray-inked negative side of the stencils.  Here's the positive:

And a close-up that shows the sparkle:

Here's the negative side that utilizes the ink spray residue on the stencils by flipping the stencil and rubbing the ink onto a blank card front:

And, another close-up:

Here's what I used to create both cards:

Memories Mists™ in Mango Lemonade, Iridescent, Cherry Smoothie, Fruit Punch and Bright Gold
Jet Black Archival Ink™ Pad by Ranger®
African Daisy Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Roselle Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Watermelon 1.5" Sheer Ribbon by May Arts Ribbon®
Fuchsia 1/2" Solid Wrinkled Ribbon by May Arts Ribbon®

Here's what I did to create both cards:

Trim two pieces of white paper to fit as card fronts.
Lay down butterfly stencil while blocking off excess white space and spritz with yellow mist.
Pick up stencil and place on other card front and gently press down on stencil.
Repeat the same process once more with the yellow mist and butterfly stencil and then twice with the pink mist and flower stencil.
Spritz Iridescent mist on both card fronts (I used a heavier application on the "Amazing" card).
Splatter some of the Fruit Punch mist and then some of the Bright Gold mist onto each card front.
Stamp both sentiments onto a piece of white paper.
Tape dies over each sentiment and corresponding cardstock colors and run through a die cutting machine.
Spritz die cut sentiments with mists.
Trim cardstocks to create each in an A2 tent fold card base.
Using a small amount of Mono Adhesive on the back of each card front, attach ribbons.
Using additional Mono Adhesive, attach card fronts to bases and sentiments to their mats.
Using 3D Foam Tabs, attach sentiments to cards.

Wicked Wednesday with SLS Lines

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is SLS Lines.  Our theme is "Add Antlers" and the image I've used is Nature Goddess Girl with Antlers.  I don't usually get into antlers since I'm not into hunting so I decided to get a little cheeky with mine. Hope the humor doesn't offend!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic® Markers
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink™ in Antique Linen
My Mind's Eye™ Indie Chic "Nutmeg"
Green Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Tombow® Marker - Brown
Miscellaneous Patterned Paper
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color with markers and fussy cut.
Trim green cardstock for ATC base.
Trim patterned papers as shown.
Adhere layers of papers.
Add distress ink to edge of trimmed image and adhere to ATC.
Using scraps, write out sentiment, trim, add distress ink and adhere to ATC as shown.

We would love for you to play along with our challenge this week.  All you need is some antlers and some creativity and you're all set!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Hi all!  It's time for Stampendous Dreamweaver Thursday and today I have a card that's all about fall and a fun new technique I've never tried before called Subtractive Eraser Technique.  Well, it's new to me, anyway.  Some of you may have already tried it out!  If you've never tried it before, here's a link to the video that shows how.  I really wanted to add a pop of color to mine so I did!

Onyx and Tiger's Eye Gemstone Cardstock by Core'dinations®
Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Tim Holtz®
Scrapbook Adhesives® 3D Foam Mounting Squares by 3L®

Create an A2 card base with a tent fold with the Tiger's Eye CS
Trim pumpkin patterned paper for background
Trim a piece of the other patterned paper and a piece of the Onyx CS slightly larger, dovetail both
