Stampendous and Whisker Graphics

Today is the last day of the Stampendous and Whisker Graphics blog hop.  I hope you’ve  enjoyed the mix of Whisker Graphics goodies with stamps, stencils and Essentials. It’s a perfect ingredient list for party decor and gifts, right?

For my project today, I’ve used Cling Daisy Mix once again, this time in honor of Mother’s Day.  I’ve created a very simple card along with a sweet gift bag.  I love the end result and I hope you do, too!

Here’s what I used to create this card and tag:

StāzOn™ Jet Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®/Imagine Crafts®
Spectrum Aqua™ Markers - Peacock Blue, Heather, Moss, Bud Green, Sunflower
Yellow Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Little Yellow Bicycle® Hello Spring 6”x6” Paper Pad
Strathmore® Mixed Media Paper
E-Z Runner® from Scrapbook Adhesives® by 3L™
3D Foam Mounting Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives® by 3L™

Here’s what I did to create this card and bag:

Stamp 4 flowers onto mixed media paper, watercolor and die cut.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to 4” x 5 1/4”.
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from yellow cardstock.
Adhere patterned paper to card base.
Add foam squares to backs of three flowers and adhere to card.
Add adhesive to leaves and adhere to card front.
Create a bow from twine and adhere to card front.
Stamp the word Mom onto end of tag with black ink.
Fold top of bag over and punch two holes in the middle of folded section.
Trim a piece of twine and thread through holes, then thread one end through hole on tag, tie a bow.
Adhere leaves to back side of flower and then attach the flower with a foam square to tag.

Wicked Wednesday with Star Stampz

It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Star Stampz.  Our theme is Spring Time and the image I've used is the adorable Spring Sun Shine.  She looks so darn happy enjoying the sun and the warm spring weather!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White
Little Yellow Bicycle® Hello Spring's Garden Rows 12x12
Copic® Markers
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color and trim closely.
Trim patterned paper for ATC base
Cut out sentiment and butterfly from patterned paper.
Adhere all layers as shown and adhere only one wing of butterfly, lift other wing away from paper.

I love that the paper I used had lots of little words and simple sentiments that could easily be trimmed out for use and were perfect for the image.  Simple, sweet and springy!

Thanks for stopping by today for a visit.  I hope you'll join us with your own interpretation of Spring Time.  See you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday with Faery Ink

Hi there!  It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Faery Ink.  Our theme is "Winter Holiday" and my image is Traveling Witch Girl.  I thought she was perfect for conjuring up a snow storm!

And in a different light, you can see more of the sparkle!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Stampendous® Holiday Expressions Perfectly Clear® Stamps
Stampendous® Christmas Visions Perfectly Clear® Stamps
Copic® Markers
Memento™ Nautical Blue Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
atyouSpica™ Silver, Clear, Baby Blue and Sky Blue
Little Yellow Bicycle® "Winterings"
Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image, color with markers and cut out.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to 3.25"x2.25".
Stamp sentiment and snowflakes with blue ink (use stamping off* technique for larger flakes).
Trim base of ATC to 3.5"x2.5" and adhere patterned paper to base.
Adhere fussy cut image to to front of ATC.

That's it for me today!  I hope you'll feel inspired enough to play along with our challenge!  Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

*Stamping Off is also known as Repetition Stamping. It allows you to achieve different tones of one color because the amount of ink on the image lessens each time you press it on the paper, so the image becomes lighter.  Ink your stamp, stamp it onto a scrap piece of paper, then stamp again onto your project.

Wicked Wednesday With Lemon Shortbread

Sounds pretty tasty, don't you think?  Yeah, so, it's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is Lemon Shortbread.  It's really hard for me to focus on stamping when I see their name because it makes me want a cookie!  LOL!  I love lemon flavored goodies.  So, back to stamping!  The image I've used is "Owl On A Branch" and our theme this week is to create an ATC with text added.  Here's my ATC:

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic® Markers
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink in Chipped Sapphire by Ranger®
Perfect Pearls™ Mists in Sunflower Sparkle by Ranger®
Scrap of Little Yellow Bicycle® Paper
Zip Dry Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

Print image on paper and again on acetate
Cut paper image to 2 1/4"h x 3 1/4"w
Trim image on acetate close to edges of image to use as a mask
Color image with markers, add a yellow moon and then dust with distress ink
Place mask over image and stamp text stamp around image
Remove mask and add drips of Perfect Pearls™ by removing sprayer and tapping it over image
Trim base paper to ATC size and adhere the image to the base
Run edges of base over the gold ink pad

So, easy peasy, right?!  If you're an owl and/or tree lover like I am, then you'll want this sweet image. The other Lemon Shortbread images are equally sweet and so much fun to color!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll see you tomorrow with a post for Stampendous.  We're collaborating with Faber-Castell this week and I'm posting on Thursday and Friday.  We also have some great prizes, so, come check it out, otherwise, see you next Wednesday!

Hugs,
Lea
