Cutest Christmas Kiddos

This week the Stampendous Design Team is showcasing our adorable Christmas Kiddos.  I absolutely adore the Kiddos line of stamps, they're just the cutest little guys and gals!  This particular Kiddo (and the sentiment) is part of the Toyland Kiddo set sold exclusively at Michaels.  It's one of my favs and is perfect for fast and simple Christmas cards.

I started off by stamping my image and the sentiment with Memento® Tuxedo Black on Neenah® Classic Crest and coloring them with Copic® markers.  I trimmed them down to the size I wanted and added a red mat to each with Bazzill®.  I also used red Bazzill® to create my 5"x5" card base with a tent fold.  I trimmed a piece of 3 Bugs in a Rug patterned paper for my background and adhered it to the base with Beacon® Zip Dry.  I adhered the other pieces with Beacon® as well and mounted them to the card base as shown.  This was a super quick and easy card to create but pretty darn cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Lea

Sticky Fun!

Wow!  What a fun week we've had!  I hope you've enjoyed all the projects our teams have shared this week!  Time now for
some Stampendous® Stamps and  Scrapbook Adhesives™ by 3L final blog hop fun!   All week we’ve been playing with our friends at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. And we DEFINITELY got the better end of this bargain!! Not only did we get a bunch of adhesive to play with…we can make whatever we want because the adhesive is pretty much invisible, while over at SA they’ll be rockin’ a whole bunch of Stampendous® goodness very visibly!!! Excited much? You betcha!
Of course there are PRIZES, (admit it, we know you only show up for the prizes!) and we’ve got some terrific ones! WE have three prize packages to give away and they contain some awesome stuff from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Stampendous®! You’re going to want to make sure you do your commenting thing this week! We’ll choose three random bloggers at the end of the week and select randomly from the comments on their posts, so be sure to get to everyone!  Now, here's my final project this week:

I had such a fun time creating this card!  It's one of those that popped into my head just as soon as I saw my Photo Corners Variety Pack!  It was so easy to create my chevron design on the bottom of my herringbone patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose collection.  Since the photo corners are self adhesive it makes it very easy to create by just doing a little trimming.  I was so excited with creating my chevrons that I did that first before I even colored my image!  However, that was my next step!  Isn't this little Pumpkin Kiddo just darling!?  I stamped her with Memento™ Tuxedo Black and then colored her with my Copic markers.  Once colored, I trimmed her fairly close and matted her on the flip side of my herringbone patterned paper and then matted that onto a piece of white cardstock using Scrapbook Adhesives™ E-Z Dot's® Permanent adhesive. This tied in the white photo corners quite nicely!  Once my image was layered and ready to mount, I set it aside and created my card base from Bazzill Bling into a tent folded A-2 card.  I added some ribbon across my chevron design that nicely covered the line and then adhered it to my card base using Scrapbook Adhesives™ E-Z Dot's® Permanent adhesive.  For my final step I mounted my matted image onto the card base with Scrapbook Adhesives™ 3D Foam Squares in white.  Next up is Rhea Weigand!
Here's the complete hop list, don't forget to leave comments along the way to be eligible to win one of prize packages, it's pretty awesome!

Let's Get Sticky!

Time for some Stampendous® Stamps and  Scrapbook Adhesives™ by 3L fun!  I'm a big fan of both and when you put them together, you're sure to have some creative fun!  I know I did! All week we’re playing with our friends at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You betcha!
Of course there will be PRIZES, (admit it, we know you only show up for the prizes!) and we’ve got some terrific ones! Now, here's my first project this week:

This is one of those projects that started out as something totally different, ever have one of those?  Originally, I didn't even plan to use this stamp!  I had intended to make a plaid background but when I did this part, it all clicked in my head and I changed course.  I created my card base from black cardstock creating a 5"x5" card.  I trimmed my white cardstock to leave a 1/8" edge for my background, no, that's not a patterned paper.  I used the Scrapbook Adhesives™ E-Z Dot's® Permanent adhesive and ran it across my piece of trimmed white cardstock creating stripes of adhesive.   I then covered the adhesive with Stampendous® Black Micro Glitter.  I love that it came out with rough edges; I think it looks really cool!  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to use Stampendous® Burglar Kiddo.

I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest and I colored it with Copics. Next I masked the image and airbrushed the blue background on before trimming it down to size.  Using more black and some green cardstock, I created a mat for my image.  I set that aside and added my Celebrate It™ Sheer Creations green ribbon from Michaels using more E-Z Dots® Permanent adhesive on the back side.  I adhered my striped piece to the card base and then, using Scrapbook Adhesives™ 3D Foam Squares in black, I adhered my matted image to the card base.  It was really a simple and fun card to create; one of those that made me smile!

Here's all the players for today, don't forget to leave a comment if you want your chance to win our awesome prize package!

Coolest Clay Ever!

We have had so much fun this week playing with Environment Technologies Inc. and Nunn Design.  Today I played with the Jewelry Clay.  This has got to be the coolest clay I've ever played with!  I mean it, I LOVE this stuff!!  It's so easy, oh my gosh, I couldn't believe how easy it is.  My first project is a bezel I filled with a small amount of clay and then I inked up a butterfly in the Stampendous Charm Collection Perfectly Clear Stamps with Ranger Archival Ink in black and stamped it into the clay inside the bezel.  I then used a small brush and added a little Dreamweaver Metallic F/X Mica Powders in Kiwi and Sapphire over the inked butterfly and Moonstone around the butterfly.  This gave it a beautiful pearly glow that I love.  To keep it from looking so boxy, I added some Stampendous Crystal Micro Glitter on each side with some Zip Dry glue.  I added my jump ring and chain and it was just that simple!

My second project is a ring.  I had something else in mind when I started this project.  Funny how you can start with one thing in mind and then go in a totally different direction!  I used enough clay to have a decent dome on top.  Using a couple of the flowers from Hand of Friendship Perfectly Clear Stamps (found exclusively at Michaels Stores), I pressed the stamps into the clay leaving a fairly decent impression.  I set it aside and let it dry.  Once dry, I thought about how I was going to add color.  There's a variety of possibilities and originally I was going to paint it with acrylic paint.  Then I started wondering how my Copic markers would work and I gave them a try.  Try it, you'll like it!  And, I did!!  So, I colored it with my Copics and then lightly brushed a little distress ink in tea dye over the whole thing.  It gave it a little slightly aged look that I really like.

We hope you've enjoyed the inspiration this week as our team has been playing with the Resin Crafts Blog featuring EnviroTex Jewelry Resin from ETI and their brand new Jewelry Clay! We've had fun bringing you these terrific projects. Be sure to comment on all the blogs for the best chance to win these terrific products. Our prize package includes BOTH the clay and resin, plus a nice assortment of bezels from Nunn Designs, and, of course, some stamps and Essentials from Stampendous! One of the things we love best are the terrific videos that show you just what to expect from these products.
