Is there a doctor in the house?

Why, yes, there is!  Say hello to Doctor Brittany, newest image in the Jude and the Rockers Just for Fun collection from Simply B Stamps.  I just love this collection!  This one takes me back to my childhood and playing doctor with my own dolls and stuffed animals.  One of my aunts was a nurse and I used to love pretending to be like her.  Here's my card:

I love this paper.  It reminded me of lazy summer days looking into the clouds and dreaming of days to come.  I decided it would be perfect for this sweet image.  Here's a close up:

How cute is she?

Products used:

Simply B Stamps Doctor Brittany
MFT Stamps Sentiment
Bazzill Paper
Bella Blvd Paper Happy Clouds
Neenah Classic Crest
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
Copic Markers
Prima Flowers
Want2Scrap Pearls

Instructions:

1.  Cut Bazzill for card base (mine is 5 1/2" square)
2.  Cut patterned paper for bottom layer with 1/16" inner edge
3.  Layer cut and colored image on reverse side of patterned paper and adhere to card
4.  Stamp sentiment and layer onto reverse side of patterned paper and adhere
5.  Add flowers with glue dots.
6.  Add pearls to flower centers

As you can see, this was very simple.  I hope you like my card and will come back tomorrow to see who's up next.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the team has created with this little cutie.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Lea

Mad Hatter Hop

We're All Mad Here, that's for sure, so in honor of our madness, and the fact that it's release day, let's have a very Mad Hatter Hop.

Yes, today you get to meet the final character in the Simply B Stamps Alice in Wonderland Chibis Collection, none other than The Hatter himself.

Our Mad Hatter Hop starts here at the SBS Blog
Lelia
Rebecca
Lea (Me!)
and then finishes back here at the SBS Blog.

Here's my version of the Hatter.  He does look a little crazy with his wildly flowing hair, crazy eyebrows and let's not forget that wild make-up.  He's lovable anyway and has certainly been one of my favorites in this collection.

I'm glad you've jumped in from Rebecca's blog to visit me and from here you may return to the SBS Blog.  I do hope you will find time to hop around to each design team member's blog to look as we've had a lot of fun with this release.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Lea

Supplies used:

The White Queen

Hi everyone!  I hope you liked The Tweedles and today we are previewing The White Queen from the new Alice in Wonderland Chibis Collection from Simply B Stamps.  She's one of my favorites from this collection, well, actually, they're all pretty fab!  I am trying to follow the look of the Tim Burton characters as the images were modeled after his version.  I have to admit, it was very difficult to color her as she doesn't have a lot of color!  I think I've captured her rather well though so I'm pleased with my outcome.

Though the White Queen doesn't have much color, Wonderland or Underland, however you choose to refer to it, was quite colorful.  I've tried to make up for her lack of color with bright papers and embellishments.  My sentiment is computer generated.  Please be sure to visit the Simply B blog for more design inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and while you're at it, have a Frabjous Day!  Now where's that darn cat?

Hugs,
Lea

Here's a simple little card I did using Bikini Betty.  My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics. My base is Bazzill cut to a 5 1/2" square.  The patterned papers are from an Echo Park Splash 6x6 pad.  My bottom layer is cut to a 5 1/4" square.  I cut a strip of the polka dot paper that's 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" high.  I framed my image with a rectangle of the same Bazzill I used for my base.  I pop-dotted the image on and added the three flowers and their bling.

This is my interpretation of the Scrappy Chick Sunday Sketch Challenge 05 that Cyndi Bundy has posted on her blog.  She has great prizes and would love for you to play along with me!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look and I hope to see you again soon!

Pan Slingin' London

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!  Today we are previewing Simply Betty Stamps Pan Slingin' London, fourth in the Teen Scene Kitchen Fun collection.  Isn't she a hottie!?  I thought she looked sassy and certainly too cute to be cookin'!  I thought she kind of had that look like "you want me to do what with what?"

My image is on Neenah and colored with Copics.  I cut the image out with a Spellbinder's Nestability and inked the edge with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The base of my card is Bazzill with layers of Doodlebug Designs and EK Success (the green one) papers.  I added some Prima flowers with Queen & Co. rhinestones.  I typed up my own little sentiment in MS Word, layered it and pop-dotted it on.  She is sizzlin'!

¡Buen apetito!  (in Spanish)

Revamped By Lori Designs Cutie

You know, sometimes you create a card and it's okay, you know, kindof cute.  You're in a hurry to get it posted so you rush or you just don't feel the creative juices flowing freely so you settle for okay.  And then when you least expect it, the inspiration hits and you know what you need to do to complete the card and make it better than kindof cute.  My little Presley Lollipop is now complete and I think she's adorable.  If you look at the previous post, you can see the big difference a few little finishing touches have made.  I love Prima flowers and I so wish I could remember where the buttons came from.  The punches are SU and the sentiment is by Amuse.  I'm much happier with the changes made.

Have a Bloomin' Good Day!

I have only recently found My Favorite Things stamp company and I am so glad I did!  For starters, the little girl looks like my granddaughter, Emmaline.  These are just some of the cutest stamps I have seen, I love them!  I stamped her on Neenah Classic Crest and colored her with my Copics.  I paper-pieced her dress with some cute paper I think is from SU and using the same paper I layered that on some Real Red for my base.  I cut her out with the Lattice Rectangles Nestabilities Spellbinder die.  I also used the flower die from MFT to cut out some flowers which I layered on Prima flowers for a little more dimension and colored some pearls with my Copic R22.  The blue velvet ribbon is from my stash so I don't know what company it's from.  I added a little more grass than what was actually part of the stamp with my Micron pen.  I think she's pretty darn cute and now it's time to enter her in some challenges!
