Season's Greetings, Dreamweaver Style

Hello there!  It's Stampendous® Dreamweaver Thursday and this week we're celebrating stencils and stamps that are "All in One."  You know, an awesome sentiment with an even more awesome image either stamped or stenciled.  For my card today, I've used Dreamweaver Stencil© LJ897 Rhinestone Wreath.  This particular stencil isn't carried by Stampendous yet, but, you can find it at the Stencil With Style on-line store in the meantime.

Here's what I used to create this card:

American Crafts™ Jolly 6x6 Paper Pad
Burgundy Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
May Arts Ribbon®
Glue Dots® - Small
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this card:

Trim a piece of white cardstock and tape stencil to paper
Paste emboss, remove stencil and set aside to dry
Trim cardstock to create a card base with a tent fold
Trim a piece of patterned paper as shown
Once paste has dried, adhere all layers as shown
Create bow and attach to card front with a glue dot

This is a super easy card to create, the longest process is just waiting for the paste to dry!  Here's a list of my teammates playing along today:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll see you again tomorrow with another post!

Hugs,
Lea

Wicked Wednesday and DRS Designs

Hello there!  It's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time and this week our sponsor is DRS Designs.  Our theme for the week is Stars & Stripes!  I'm a very patriotic soul so this week's challenge is a favorite!  The image I've used is USA Thanks to Our Brave.  This one was near and dear because I spent 9 years on active duty in the U. S. Army.  I'm proud of my service to our wonderful country!

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Copic Markers
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pens
Dylusions® Spray in Postbox Red
Americana 6x6 American Crafts™ Paper Pad
Red Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

I printed the image twice in two different sizes as I wanted the bottom portion of the image to be smaller than the USA.
I colored the USA with Copics® first and then cut out each letter.
Next I decided to go over each letter with glitter pens to add a little pizzazz!
I didn't want the sentiment to remain white so I spritzed it with red spray mist and set it aside to dry.
I cut the base of the ATC from red cardstock.
I cut the patterned background paper and adhered it to the ATC base.
Next I added a little sparkle to my patterned paper with glitter pens.
Since the sentiment was dry now, I added a little glitter to "Free" and "Brave."
Next up was all the layering and adhering as shown.

I would love to see your patriotic ATC's so I hope you'll join us this week.  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Lea

Whimsical Bird

It's the 1st and that means it's time for another Desert Islands Crafters Challenge.  Our sponsor for this challenge is The Stamping Boutique.  She has some super cute digital stamps and the one I've used today is called Whimsical Bird.  It reminded me of a partridge in a pear tree so I thought it was perfect for this time of year.  Here's the itinerary for this challenge:

1.  Glitter
2.  Ribbon
3.  Die Cut
4.  Airbrushing or Spray (Perfect Pearls Mists, Memories Mists, Dylusions)
5.  Snowflakes
6.  Winter theme with Summer colors
7.  Stencil
8.  Three Layers
9.  Pocket
10. Distressing

Remember, you need to use at least three from this list.  Here's my card:

I've used #'s 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8

Here's a close-up showing the sparkle from the Clear Spica pen I used to add a little glittery goodness:

Now it's your turn to show us what you've created!  Link your card here!  I look forward to seeing what you've come up with.  Have fun!

Hugs,
Lea

Truck of Gifts

Hello there!  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Today I'm sharing a card with you created with some great Stampendous® Stamps!  This card uses Truck of Gifts for the main image and  Holly Bird Perfectly Clear Stamps™ and Christmas Charms Perfectly Clear Stamps™ on the tag.  If you've gone shopping on "Black Friday" you may have brought home your own truck of gifts!  For me, I'm staying home and as far away from the mall as possible!  So, here's my card:

I love this old truck!  Definitely one of my favorite stamps for creating masculine Christmas cards.  Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp image, color as desired and trim closely around edge
Create card base from Bazzill
Trim patterned background paper
Trim mat for image
Create bow and adhere to lower portion of patterned paper
Adhere patterned paper to card base with bow attached
Adhere image to mat and then adhere matted image to card
Punch out tag and stamp as shown
Using glue, adhere glitter to tree branches as shown
Tie tag around ribbon and, using a foam mounting square, attach to the card

These are the products I used:

Stampendous® Truck of Gifts
Stampendous® Holly Bird Perfectly Clear Stamps™
Stampendous® Christmas Charms Perfectly Clear Stamps™
Stampendous® Crystal Micro Glitter
America Crafts® Jolly 6x6 Paper Pad
Bazzill® Embossed Dot Card Stock in Red

Neenah® Classic Crest Solar White
Fiskars® Tag Punch
Beacon Adhesives® Zip Dry™
Archival Ink™ in Vermillion
Tim Holtz® Distress Ink™ in Iced Spruce
Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread® in White
Seam Binding in Dark Red
Copic® Markers as listed:

  • Sky - B41; BG0000
  • Truck - G21, 24, 28; C00, 0, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7; E35, 37, 39, 43, 44; R35, 37, 39
