Beach Baby...

...Beach Baby, there on the sand
From July to the end of September

That song was a classic summer tune and ran through my head in a continual loop the entire time I was creating this card with the new Stampendous® Pink Your Life Whisper Friends Beach Girl.  It was one of those cards that made me feel happy and young as I was creating it.  Certainly a bonus to an already adorable stamp!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Here's what I did to create this card:

  1. Stamp image on white paper with black ink and color.
  2. Using VersaMarker pen along water edge, add Shabby Chic White Embossing Enamel, shake off excess and heat.
  3. Trim image closely.
  4. Adhere image to blue cardstock mat.
  5. Fold blue cardstock into an A2 card base.
  6. Trim a piece of blue patterned paper for background and adhere ribbon as shown, then adhere to card base.
  7. Adhere matted image to card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you like this fun stamp as much as I do.  I'll see you again soon, until then, have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Lea

Vintage Style

Today we're wrapping up a week of showcasing projects created using Fran Seiford's new book Stampendous recently released, "Embossing Powder Techniques from A to Z?"  It's 100 pages of everything you will ever need to know about embossing!  Today I used technique H - Vintage Cracked Glass Embossing Powder Technique on page 27.  This technique is great for "instant aging" creating a vintage or mixed media look.  Don't forget, if you need a heat gun to try these embossing techniques, Stampendous now carries the Wagner Embossing Heat Tool.  This is the best heat tool on the market!  It efficiently melts even the thickest layer of embossing enamel.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Spectrum Aqua™ Markers in Essentials by Crafter's Companion®
Jet Black Ink Pad Archival Ink™ by Ranger®
Infinity Permanent Metallic Marker in Silver by The Write Dudes™
Mixed Media Paper by Strathmore®
Grasshopper Cardstock by My Colors®
Bo Bunny® 12" Gabriella Fairest Patterned Paper
Bo Bunny® 12" Ambrosia Flowers Patterned Paper
Gathered Twigs Distress Ink Pad by Ranger®
May Arts® Ribbon and Twine
Celebrate It™ Occasions™ White Paper Flowers
10 mm White Rose Mulberry Flowers by Pizzazz Aplenty™
4 mm Light Coffee Flatback Pearls by Pizzazz Aplenty™

Here's a list of my teammates that are playing along today:

Thanks so much for stopping by to have a look.  I hope you've spotted some new embossing techniques you're wanting to try out!  It's always fun to learn something new and this book has a ton of great information, you're going to love it!  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you again next week.

Lea

Dreaming of You

So, how are you enjoying the many faces of Stampendous?  Pretty darn awesome, aren't they?  For my card today, I've used Beautiful Braid rubber stamp combined with Stampendous Dreamweaver Stencil DWLG762 Fairy.  From the first time I saw this stamp, I saw butterfly and fairy wings on her back.  You will definitely see this stamp again combined with butterfly wings!

Another thing I love to do is mix the various Stampendous Essentials to get my own mix.  I love having the ability to mix the various fragments, glitters, micas and embossing powders to match my papers and colored image.  If you don't have color fragments, you need them!!  I love those delicious little flakes of color.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Copic® Markers
Blue Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Memory Box® Viola 6x6 Paper Collection
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon
Glue Dots® - Small

Here's what I did to create this card:

Stamp image with black ink and color with markers.
Paste emboss fairy wings onto back of girl.
Add lilac powder to wings and heat with heat gun for molten magic technique.
Using VersaMarker™, extend wing size with marker, sprinkle on blue embossing powder, heat.
Trim image closely.
Mix fragments, mica and glitters in a separate container and set aside.
Create 6x6 card base from blue cardstock.
Trim background papers as shown and adhere to card base.
Take image and edge with VersaMark™ pad, sprinkle on ice blue embossing enamel, tap off excess.
Sprinkle on essentials mix and heat powder, this will embed the mix into the powder.
Adhere image to card front.
Using glue, adhere additional mix as shown, set aside for glue to dry, tap off loose mix and return to container.

This card might look like it was complicated to create, however, it really wasn't.  It was actually quite easy to put together and I'm so pleased with the final result.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll have another post for you tomorrow sharing another wonderful face from Stampendous.  In the meantime, have a wonderful day!

Best Embossing Book Ever

Happy Friday!!  I hope you've enjoyed the past week with the various posts from the Stampendous Design Team showcasing the many techniques in Fran Seiford's new book, Embossing Powder Techniques from A-Z.  Fran is the owner and founder of Stampendous and has been using these techniques for 35 years.  The book is absolutely amazing, very clear instructions and so easy to follow and learn from!  Also, in case you didn't already know, Stampendous is now carrying the Milwaukee Heat Tool by Wagner.  Truly one of the best heat tools out there!

I made this card using two Techniques, J - Watercolor Resist with White on page 29 and S - Encrusted Jewel beginning on page 42. These are fun techniques, especially the watercolor resist.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Crayola® Washable Watercolor Paints
Coral Rose Cardstock by My Colors by My Mind's Eye™
May Arts Ribbon®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon
