Halloween Snowman

When I lived in Colorado, there was the occasional Halloween that would roll around after a good snow.  There would still be leaves hanging on the trees!  One of my favorite things to do was to incorporate a snowman into the Halloween decor.  For some reason, that always amused me!  My card today, using Stampendous Smiling Snowman and Halloween Hats, reminds me of those early, Fall snows ahead of Halloween.

Here's what I used to create this create?

Stampendous® Products -

Stampendous® Smiling Snowman
Stampendous® Halloween Hats
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
VersaFine™ Onyx Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®

Other Products -

Dahlia Purple Cardstock by Core-dinations®
Copic® Markers
Distress® Oxide Ink Pads - Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Fired Brick, Broken China, Faded Jeans and Wilted Violet

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope to see you again soon, but, in the meantime, have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.

Trick or Treat!

Wisteria Circle

Wisteria Circle is one of the newest Stampendous stamps that I'm in love with!  To begin with, the name is just dreamy!  I can just imagine living on a street named Wisteria Circle or in a sweet cottage named Wisteria Circle.  Yes, I'm a mushy romantic at heart!  I've always loved Wisteria vines, they grow wild around here and they're stunningly beautiful, just like this stamp!

Here's what I used to create this card:

BasicGrey® Kioshi Paper Pad
Apple Green Cardstock by Core'dinations®
May Arts Ribbon®
Copic® Markers
Zip Dry Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'll see you again next week with more Stampendous inspiration.  Until then, have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Lea

Moroccan Tile Time

It's time to add a little Stampendous Moroccan Tile spice to the mix!  I love this stamp!  I know, I love them all, but, seriously, this one is so beautiful!  You can use it for a background or make it the star of the show.  It your choice!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® 6CR007 Cling Moroccan Tile Rubber Stamp
Spectrum Aqua® Markers
Canson® Watercolor Paper
May Arts Ribbon®
Core'dinations® Apple Green Cardstock
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this card:

  1. Color stamp with markers
  2. Spritz stamp with water, lay paper over top and press paper onto stamp
  3. Trim around stamped image
  4. Trim solid cardstock
  5. Tie ribbon and adhere to card front
  6. Adhere layers together
I love the soft watercolor look of this image done with this technique!  I've not used this technique in a while and it was fun to do.  Thanks bunches for stopping by and I'll see you again next week with more Stampendous inspiration!

Hugs,
Lea

Winter Wonderland in Foam

(I would like to apologize for my absence from the hop on Thursday.  I've had a rather unpleasant stomach bug that prevented me from participating.  I do hope you'll have the opportunity to view yesterday's post.)

Today is the last day of the Stampendous and Scrapbook Adhesives Blog Collaboration, man has it been fun!  The Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Creative Sheets are awesome!  You can cut them with scissors or with die cuts, and, for my card today, I used both.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Copic® Markers (B000, R24, R29, C5)
Core'dinations® Powder Blue Cardstock

This card is so simple but it's so sweet!  I'm in love with this smiling little snowman, he really has melted my heart.  Of course the foam sheet was super easy to cut with scissors to create the snowy landscape and the snowman die was a piece of cake to create my raised snowman.  You may have noticed I mentioned using the Foam Snowflakes on this card.  Not only does the packet come with traditional style snowflakes, it also includes these super cute circles in different sizes for a more contemporary snow scene!  I love them both!

Thanks snow much for stopping by today.  I do hope you've enjoyed our blog collaboration.  If you haven't already tried Scrapbook Adhesives many different products, then you really should.  They make crafting fun!  I'll see you again next week with a sneak peek of the newest stamps!  Until then, have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Lea

Foam Fun

Stampendous is collaborating with Scrapbook Adhesives this week, one of my favorite brands of adhesives.  Most crafters know them for their E-Z Runner adhesives and their 3D Foam Squares, but, did you know they also make fun shapes from foam?  For my card today, I've used their 3D Foam Snowflakes.

Here's what I used to create this card:

Core'dinations® Powder Blue Cardstock
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Delicata™ Shimmery Silver Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
May Arts Ribbon®

These snowflakes are so much fun to use.  You can stick all sorts of fun things to the foam, glitters, powders, flocks, beads, all sorts of fun stuff!  They're super sticky, so, no worries about product falling off.   I do hope you'll get some and give them a try.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll see you again tomorrow with more wintery wonderfulness.  See you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Dreamy Tombow

Hi all!  It's time for Stampendous Dreamweaver Thursday and today I have a card that's all about fall and a fun new technique I've never tried before called Subtractive Eraser Technique.  Well, it's new to me, anyway.  Some of you may have already tried it out!  If you've never tried it before, here's a link to the video that shows how.  I really wanted to add a pop of color to mine so I did!

Here's what I used to create this card:

Stampendous® Dreamweaver© Stencil LL515 Pumpkins
Stampendous® Mixed Media White Paper
Tombow® Recycled Colored Pencils, 24-Pack Tin
Tombow® Mono Zero Eraser, Silver Round
Tombow® Mono NP Eraser, Non PVC
Tombow® Mono Drawing Pencil, 2B
Bo Bunny® Apple Cider Collection 6x6 Paper Pad
Onyx and Tiger's Eye Gemstone Cardstock by Core'dinations®
Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Tim Holtz®
Scrapbook Adhesives® 3D Foam Mounting Squares by 3L®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives

Here's what I did to create this card:

As stated above, I used the Subtractive Eraser Technique, I did add pencil back into the design and I used colored pencils on the middle pumpkin, add distress ink and set aside
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold with the Tiger's Eye CS
Trim pumpkin patterned paper for background
Trim a piece of the other patterned paper and a piece of the Onyx CS slightly larger, dovetail both
Adhere layers as shown using foam squares to attach image

Here's the list of my teammates that are posting today; I hope you'll leave them some love:

Lea Fritts (me!)

Wicked Wednesday with DRS Designs

That's right, peeps, it's not JUST Christmas Eve but Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog time, too!!  This week our sponsor is DRS Designs and the theme is Happy Holidays or Silver and Gold, your choice.  I decided to go with Happy Holidays and a little twinkle of glitter and used their Glittering Twinkling Christmas Greeting.  Here's my ATC:

Here's what I used to create this ATC:

Neenah® Classic Crest™ Solar White Cover Stock
Core'dinations® Kraft Core Cardstock
Copic® Markers - B91, 93, 95, 97; BV02; R83; E74; YG93, 95, 97
atyouSpica™ Glitter Pens in Buttermilk and Lemon
Micron™ Pen in Black
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon® Adhesives
Copic® Airbrush System

Here's what I did to create this ATC:

I printed my image and trimmed it to the appropriate size
Next up was airbrushing my sky with the blues, pink and lavender
Using the brown and green markers, draw the tree branches
Go over the stars with the glitter pens and add a few extra "stars"
Trim ATC base and adhere ATC image

That's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you all have the merriest of Christmases!  Have a blessed day.
