We've been celebrating birthdays all week at Stampendous!  We have so many different stamps and stencils that are perfect for creating anything from a birthday card, to invitations, to home decor, and scrapbook pages to remember it all!  Not just birthdays, but also anniversaries and all of the major holidays.  If there's a celebration to be had, chances are, we have the stamps and stencils to help you celebrate it in style!  Here's my card for today using the sentiment, Superstar Birthday, and the background stamp, Oh My Stars.

Sweet Escapes are Awesome!

Desert Island Crafters Challenge is sponsored this round by Sweet Escape Digis and the image I've chosen is Witch Digital Stamp.  I love her images as they're all wonderful!  The faces are so sweet and they're just fun to color.  Here's the list of items to choose from for this challenge:

1.  Turn something sweet into something creepy
2.  Use black, purple and orange
3.  Use spider webs
4.  Add some glitter/sparkle
5.  Use a die cut
6.  Use paint
7.  Tear something
8.  No pink
9.  CASE a DT Member
10.  Something metal

For my image I've used 2, 3, 4, 5,  and 6.  Remember, you must use at least 3 items from the list for your project.

Here's what I've used to create this card:

Copic Markers
Hickory Smoke Distress Ink from Ranger
Eerie 6x6 Paper Pad from BasicGrey
Purple Cardstock from Bazzill Basics Paper
Creepy Web Die from Memory Box
Label Eighteen Die from Spellbinders
DecoArt Media Shimmer Mister in Violet
DecoArt Media Mister in Yellow Green
Silver Micro Glitter from Stampendous
E-Z Runner by Scrapbook Adhesives for 3L
Quickie Glue Pen by Sakura (Great for intricate dies)
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives for 3L

This was such a fun card to create!  It helps to have an awesome stamp to begin the process!  I hope you'll check out Sweet Escapes, I'm pretty sure you'll love them too!  So, let's see what you can create from our fun list!  See you again soon!

Hugs,
Lea

Blankets and Buttons

We are SO EXCITED to be hopping with Buttons Galore and More for a whole week. We have some fun projects to share that all include an abundance of buttons that were so generously sent to our team.

Buttons Galore and More provides a wide selection including specialty designed embellishments for celebrations, holidays, and various other events and themes. Find a plethora of choices on their website at Buttons Galore and More!

This week has been one of those weeks when I would love to grab a blanket, curl up and hide from the world!  Well, since I can’t do that, I’ve got a super cute little House-Mouse® that can!  Isn’t this a sweet stamp?  I love it!  I tried to mimic the patterned paper with my design of circles and hexagons and I have to admit, I’m pretty pleased with the results.  The sweet buttons from Buttons Galore was the perfect finishing touch!

Here’s what I used to create this card:

Stampendous:

Plus:
Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Memories Growing Garden Patterned Paper by Ki®
Nestabilities® Hexagon Dies by Spellbinders® Paper Arts
Nestabilities® Circle Dies by Spellbinders® Paper Arts
Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread®
Copic® Markers (T2, T4, T6, E50, E51, E53, R02, R81, R83, R85, R87, C0, C1)

Here’s what I did to create this card:

Stamp Baby Blanket image with black ink, color with markers and die cut with largest hexagon die.
Stamp sentiment with black ink and die cut with smallest hexagon die.
Die cut largest circle and smallest circle from green cardstock.
Create an A2 card base with a tent fold from green cardstock.
Trim a piece of patterned paper to fit 1/8″ smaller than card base on all sides.
Adhere patterned paper to card base.
Adhere hexagonal die cut sentiment to small die cut circle.
Adhere hexagonal die cut main image to large die cut circle and then adhere to card front.
Layer sentiment onto large button, adhere to card.
Layer smaller buttons with crochet thread and adhere to card as shown.
Thread single button with crochet thread and adhere to card as shown.

Here’s a list of my teammates that have additional inspiration to share:

Spooky Spellbinders

Hello and welcome to the final day of the Spellbinders® Whimsical Woodland Blog Fest!  I decided to create two different bezel inserts with our Stampendous® stamps, one that fits our woodland theme and another that's a little spookier for Halloween.  I will use a glue dot on the back of each insert to hold it in but it will also allow me to switch them out.  For easy storage, I'll just keep a piece of acetate that I can stick them to when I'm using a different insert!

Here’s what I used to create this bezel and the inserts:

Stampendous®:

Spooky House Perfectly Clear Stamps
Halloween Diamonds Perfectly Clear Stamps
Aged Green Embossing Enamel
Jade PEARLustre™ Embossing Powder
VersaMark™ Watermark Ink Pad
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink Pad by Tsukineko®

Plus:
Spellbinders® Die Set
Memento™ London Fog Ink Pad by Tsukineko®
Copic® Markers - W0, W1, W4, C1, C3, C4, T4, BV01, BV02, BV04, B91, B93, B95, Y11, Y13, Y32, Y35, Y38, YG11, YG13, YG17, YG93, YG95, G05, G07, E41,E42, E43, E44, E47
Miscellaneous beaded chain
Glue Dots® Adhesives - Craft Dots

Here’s what I did to create this bezel and the inserts:

Die cut two large shields and stamp images
Color images and set aside
Mix embossing enamel and embossing powder in a separate container
Rub VersaMark™ pad around one complete side of bezel
Sprinkle embossing mix on bezel over ink, shake off excess mix and heat
Repeat steps on other side of bezel
Create chain and attach bezel with a jump ring
Add a single bead in bottom hole of bezel

Here’s a list of my teammates that are playing along today:

Today is the last day of our fantastic weekend hop at Stampendous with our friends at Tombow. They have so many amazing products; we are excited to have joined them for the past three days. We love their paintbrush style Dual Brush pens the most and we’ve teamed them up with some of our winter wonderland stamps for some truly great projects.  Here's my card using the sweet new image, Winter Delivery:

Trim your patterned papers as shown
Using your paper distresser, distress the edges of your image and both patterned papers
Add distress ink to the edges you've just distressed
