Here's my project for today:
Here's what I used to create my card:
Archival Ink™ in Jet Black from Ranger®
Bo Bunny® A Gift of Love Collection, Sweetie Pie Squeeze
Limeade Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
May Arts Ribbon
3D Foam Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives®
Zip Dry Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Here's what I did to create this card:
Stamp image, color flower with pencils and leaves with Gelatos
Trim closely around image
Scribble some black Gelato on a craft sheet and spritz with water
Using a large sponge dauber, lightly sponge Gelato through Damask Stencil on pink paper
Create card base from green cardstock in an A2 horizontal tent fold
Trim pink stenciled paper down to size as shown
Create a mat for stamped image from green cs and edge with Black Licorice Gelato and smudge
Adhere image to mat
Trim a piece of ribbon and wrap ends around pink paper
Adhere pink paper to green base
Attach foam mounting squares to back of matted image
Adhere image to card base
I really wanted this card to have an elegant look with a slight, very slight, grunge look. Something trés chic with a little bit of "oo la la." I wanted the background to be subtle and I love that it's just peeking out behind the image. This card turned out exactly the way I had it pictured in my head. I always love it when that happens!
Let’s check out today’s inspiration from our designers:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! We're really having fun this week creating with Faber-Castell’s awesome products. I’ll see you again tomorrow with another project and more Faber-Castell yumminess as we complete our week with a fantastic final hop. Don't forget to comment for your chance to win a prize!
Hugs,
Lea
